Not sure if Germans but, South Panola vs West Point 2011??

Anyone else heard this? Heard it will be played @ West Point Aug. 20th.

From West Point but I heard it through the grapevine, it was someone close to the Green Wave program but I haven't been able to talk to him directly. I doubt i'll be seeing coach Chambless anytime soon either...I don't know about destroying, think WP would have more to play for but I do think it will be a L for them especially with Justin Cox suiting up in maroon and white next year..let me know what he says, this would definitely be a game worth going to!

Its schedule for Aug 20th on a saturday night, first game of the year for both teams. It has been set up as a home and home series, going back to SP the next year. As a WP native I'm glad to see we will be playing SP again but I'm uneasy b/cthat the matchup comes right off the heels of WP losing two very large senior classes over the last 2 years. But, WP keeps a constant flow of talent and they have a solid coaching staff that knows how play to their strengths, so hopefully they can reload accordingly

interesting thing to know:
Last time WP and SP met was back in '04, WP lost in overtime after thego-ahead touchdown wascalled back on a chop block (I was there). Dereck Pegeus would go on to score the game winning score.</p>

I'm not predicting one way or another,but I would advise against that statement.All thesekids here at WP talk about is getting a shot at SP. They have been saying it for years ever since WP was moved back down from 5A to 4A back in the day. Motivation definately won't be an issue. I will say this with confidence though, if SP and WP had met this year, particularly at the end of the year...I think WP would have the upper hand on SP.

This year's South Panola team was one of the best in Mississippi history.WestPoint would have been lucky to stay within 3 TDs of them, and that's no knock on West Point at all.

south panola finished ranked #2 in the entire nation. how would anybody "have the upper hand" on them?
