but I'm so tired of State's lack of marketing in so many ways I can't even name them but here's just a couple of the top of my head. I was in the mall today inTennessee and went into a sports clothing store that is filled with hundreds of schools throughout the country. There is tons of stuff in there for all 11 other SEC schools but only 3 ****** Big Lots looking State jackets and 1 @!!@%#% hat. WTF!!! YesterdayI got gas and again the @!!@%#% gas station has all 11 other SEC schools except one, you guessedcorrectly no State. Tonight I am going through my Xbox360 dashboard and there is all sorts of stuff on there for 11 SEC schools except one, you guessed correctly again no Mississippi State University. I know these are probably petty references butthey add up.Wake up ******* and do your job whoever the +!%% you are!!!

You were probably just too late at the mall. They sell the State stuff so fast you have to catch it as soon as it hits the shelf. Especially in Tennessee. Also, my advice would be to never, never, ever get any of your gear from a gas station, unless it's a koozie for your beer. I have no idea what an xbox dashboard is so I can't help you there.

<div>Have you seen our billboards?</div>

it's not in a gas station but you get the point. These are just the last three instances, I'll be sure to include State's lack of representation at Pinehurst's country club next time I am there.

..I would say all the giant *** billboards of Mullen saying "Welcome to our state" is genius marketing. It's certainly better marketing that what is being offered by OM & USM.

If you go into places that don't offer Miss. State gear, all you have to do is politely ask the manager to order some. 9 times out of 10 the manager will comply.

simple principle....the more hats, koozies, jackets, tents, magnets, flags, shirts, pants, (insert your favorite piece of crap here) that are bought/demanded by our fans....the more the stores, gas stations and elite country clubs will stock our crap. You obviously have no idea what is included in the job of marketer. Again, if the fans buy, the places will stock. Geesh! Ignorance abounds among our fanbase.

at a reputable dealer like academy or dick's you will notice that there is a **** ton of rebel and eagle stuff while our section looks more empty. that is b/c we buy it all, while they bask in their collective shitiness. i conducted massive market research behind these statements

and told him he'd probably have his record month if he'd stock MSU as much as every other school. I don't live in Mississippi anymore so I don't have the luxury of seeing 3 billboards. I didn't realize 3 billboards in a market already consumed by Mississippi State fans was considered expert use of marketing strategies?? Must of covered that in Econ101. How bought thinking outside of a 90 mile radius for proactive marketing for our school? Since when is it considered a good marketing strategy to let the consumer do your asking for you? How bout someone getting off their overpaid *** and forcing MSU out of the billboard stoneage and into 2011 where demand is in internet, television, gaming (you know that video game thing which outsells movies these days),iPhone & iPod touch apps, etc....you might start noticing we get left out on quite a lot these days because nobody is speaking. Oh and the owner for Pilot gas stations recently donated $50 million dollars to the University of Tennessee so maybe it's not such a bad idea to talk to the next guy that owns a thousand or so of those and say "how bout a little Bulldog love in your stores?" or we can just rely on our amazing billboards and hoping our fanbase will please ask every manager he sees for representation.
