I'm not getting one until they stop making 360 games. I have a smart tv and a 360 for gaming, no reason to spend a ton of money on a xbone yet.
Eta: if they come out with a halo 5 edition xbone I'll probably cave in and get it.

It's a dark time when I'm forced back to the college football game I like, multimedia support so I can watch the 3tb of movies and shows I have on my external hard drive, and the ability to play online with my buddies. All of which I could not do on the ONE. The $650 price tag (including protection plan) and the lack of features did it.

I don't know anyone who's purchased one yet but was it that bad? No online and you can't watch movies off a hard drive? Hell that's the only thing I use my 360 for.
I still haven't made up my mind between the XboxOne and PS4, but either way... they're going to have to give me a better reason to buy one before I'll give up on my 360. With the games that are still pouring out for it and ones that I haven't played yet like GTA5, I can't find any reason to upgrade yet.
To really take the geek level of this thread up a notch, have any of you seen the articles about the Oculus Rift headset? Looks pretty badass, and I can remember the days of growing up and always hoping that their would be a usable VR headset one day. It's sounding like we may not be far off

This. 1st gens are bad. I bought the first gen 360. No external storage, couldn't put it sideways or it would burn up, and it weighed 30 lbs. The only similarities in that one and the newer 360's are the games and controllers. I'll buy a One, but it will be this time next year or later.
thats pretty good advice. i really want a one now, but there are several advantages to waiting for a while. I had everything lined up for me to get one over Christmas break, but im seriously second guessing that decision. i guess i will have to limp by with my 360 for the time being.
To further clarify... Aside from the college football franchise, I'm not really a gamer. I wanted the ONE because it was suppose to be the ultimate in all in one entertainment... It was far from it. So it went back.
