until the cycle starts all over aGain. Like the wise man says "Abandon all hope ye who cheer for the maroon and white". I know, I know, " its early", "we'll be fine", and all the other platitudes a state fan hears during a life time of love/hate for his alma mater's athletic teams but damn, it would warm the soul of every dawg fan to see his MSU team rise to the next level and kick the **** out of another team because of the importance of a victory for both the team and program. NIT here we come.

Sorry, I'll step back from the keyboard now, I feel better already...at least until tomorrow morning and I'm still a State fan.

PS: Free Sidney...someday.

I graduated over 40 years ago.

You succintly distilled the paradigm of what it means to be a bulldog fan.

The Beach Boys said, "Be true to your school." And we are.

Painful as it is.

What fan in their right mind would follow an athleticprogram as annually frustrating as MSU?

PS: I would wait until we lose to UT before you give up on basketball.

I think MSU may win by double digits.<div>
</div><div>With it being Senior day, Varnado may not have a foul called on him the whole game. I think MSU matches up really well against UT.</div><div>

We are playing one of the annointed teams. Jarvis will play 24 minutes due to foul trouble. UT will shoot 30 FT to our 12 .

Jarvis' fouls or lack there of seems to be ultra important to the Rebels.

UT has shot 1 more FT than MSU has this year and I see MSU playing really well and the crowd really being a big difference.<div>
</div><div>MSU has only lost 2 home games this year, and I think UT is a little overrated.</div><div>
</div><div>I know people are frustrated with MSU basketball, but don't you think MSU wins this one? I know I do.</div>

no way MSU beats Ole Miss (twice)if not for the cheating refs and Jarvis getting away with all thefouls.</p>

I don't think Varnado getting calls had anything to do with us losing to MSU twice. We lost because MSU was and I think is the better team. <div>
</div><div>Varnado getting calls is expected and though he seems to be getting away with less since the UK game, I don't expect him to foul out on Senior day. Just don't see it happening. </div><div>
</div><div>I hope he doesn't. I can't stand Chism, and JP Prince. Probably hate them more than any other two players in the SEC. I think they are both punks.</div>

You realize that better players end up "getting away" with the most calls? Or at least to the opposing teams they do. Ever wonder why John Wall gets fouled so much? Demarcus Cousins? It's because they are the best players. I suspect it's always been that way. It's why people cry about Alabama football.

You want to talk refs, talk about the personal foul type calls, where refs have some judgement calls to make, that can greatly swing games. More in football and basketball. SEC 2009 had bad refs.

If Varnado commits the fouls, he'll foul out. Problem is, he just doesn't commit that many.
