Both College Gameday and the Fox Big Noon Kickoff were at OSU for the OSU/Penn State game today. Prob won't get Gameday, though we are one of the few they have never visited, but Fox is more likely I would think.

FYI, Matt Sarz and I think alike, CBS at noon. PSU Maryland 4 on FOX.

I think this is the most likeliest slot, as well. We shall see tomorrow
Can they PLEASE flip this around so we get the 4pm time slot. Would just make for a better crowd considering all the kids activities that take place on Saturdays in NJ. Also, would be better for tailgating of course and building up excitement

If PSU gets noon on 11/4, they would have 4 consecutive noon games as a top-10 team. It looks highly unlikely.

Certainly possible, as matt predicts CBS has first pick this week. If it’s fox we’re likely there and could be the 3:30-4pm slot.

Either way, I’d hope this is a big enough game that excitement is built for a noon game. Noon is traditional big ten football, and there shouldn’t really be any excuses if crowd isn’t good cause it’s noon. Time to show we’re big time!

Again, top 10 teams are going to have noon slots in the new big ten tv deal. Why are people failing to grasp this.

Big conference games in prime time (though obviously still possible) are much less likely anymore. The biggest games are going to be at noon. (And occasionally 3:30 starting next season).

because somehow are fan base thinks that you cannot have big games at noon because you cant tailgate for 8 hours. We have a tailgate scene that has dwarfed our gameplay on the field for years. That is starting to turn this year but looks like many still are too tied into the before rather than the actual game.

There is no excuse for the game not to be a madhouse at noon for kickoff and for Hobbs to make sure the students get bussed over in any way possible...DO SOMETHING MAJOR FOR THEM ON THE BUSCH CAMPUS THIS TIME..ITS IMPORTANT

I think nbc has the first choice for a few weeks, so maybe 2 or 3 chances for a marquee night game. However these slots are usually announced prior to the season

Is there a flex thing for those like the NFL?

While we all hoped to be 6-2 going into this game, did the TV folks? Bet they didn’t.

I don’t think so.

NBC announced their choices prior to the season. They do have the option on weeks they pick first to wait til the week of,,though it seems this year they picked their games prior to the season

No one knows 100% how the tv draft works, keep in mind. Lots of moving parts.

There will be a prime time B1G game on NBC every week. Plus a nooner on Fox and a 3:30 on CBS. Since the 3 networks rotate in 1st pick, you can’t say that any one of these is the premier slot.

I hate noon home games because of the short tailgate window. Many others share my thoughts.

Do we have any idea when the game time would be announced? Trying to determine if I could go or not. It’s a little annoying not to have a game time two weeks before the game.

There is a draft before the season with FOX getting the first pick as they are paying the most.

The sooner the B1G and TV networks realize that we need 330 or night games, the better. Noon doesn't scream big time. This isn't 1993. The Cubs have lights at Wrigley now and so do B1G stadiums over the past 10-15 years. Play more night and 3:30 games.

If the game was on Peacock, they could have it anytime and not worry about network drafts or any of this stuff.

Just saying.

Wasn’t it rumored that the schools indicated that they don’t like night games later in the season?
Possibly this desire is being accepted

Not sure, and maybe some don't because it's pretty cold at night in some of those states in Nov, but NJ is fine for 330 or night.

Well not really because the point of the draft is so all the partners can get their money's worth. FOX pays the most, so they get their pick of the best games they want. NBC is second currently as CBS is only a part time partner this year and they drop the SEC for the B1G full time next year.

All I know is PSU practically shut down OSU, Notre Dame did it.. with 2 weeks of prep.. Rutgers can do it.

Future lockerroom speech...

"We prepared 2 weeks for Ohio State.. we worked like dogs on the fields and in the film room.. and you know what?

IT WORKED OUT!"

I’ve been to every home game and nooners suck balls. Everyone is only in the stadium once the 2nd quarter starts. If they want a great atmosphere, don’t schedule it at noon.
Not sure who the "they" is that you are referring to. But the TV networks are the decision makers, and THEY don't care.

Well if its all about becoming a big time program that has to change then doesn't it. The number 3 team in the country will be coming in. That's on the fans not anyone else.
