What incentive does a lame duck HC have? Why not allow a coordinator to step up as "interim". Then at leastthere isthe incentive of getting HC experience for future job considerations. Nothing Nutt does in these next three games will help or hurt his resume, so why bother?

If it was my decision, his *** would still be thumbing a ride back from Lexington.

happening. Now I could see them insisting to the new coach that Brewer be given the offense which could make it difficult to make a good hire. They really seem to like the guy and they have the history of Vaught legacy to deal with. <div>
</div><div>I suspect they are going to let out all the stops and spend whatever it takes to land a big time coach. With all the hell that has been raised I don't see another option for them at this point. With that said it will likely lead to us upping Mullen's salary and his coaches again if he gets to a bowl game this year.</div>

...of being the impetus of his firing at the end of the year.
Anyway, the black bears will nosedive from here. Remember how it went for Sherrill after he announced he was leaving at the end of the season.

There is a full page Forward Rebel ad in the Northeast MS Daily Journal. "Ole Miss Fans - "Are you tired of the Good Ol' Boy Network"

Pete Boone started his 14th season at Ole Miss with a losing record in all major sports. That record is getting worse. And so we ask again - Why is he still here? .......................... Write Dan Jones and tell him what you think.

No mention of Nutt.

Hud and Diaz potential candidates. Did they accomplish anything at poor little ol irrelevant, not worthy of a rival MSU? that would be so rich. Shitcan a guy who accomplished the near impossible for the first time in FIFTY YEARS for a guy that's one year removed from a job at Mississippi State.

Boone will be gone, but just not right now. This comes from my South Suites buddy......He does not know the timetable on Boone's resignation.
It looks like Boone might get to hire the next coach.... This is great.....

This is the bad part of them having no success at all. We all enjoy it while it's happening, but now they might actually 17 up and hire a good coach.

around when he is a big part of the problem anyway? Don't get me wrong, I love it, but it just doesn't make sense. Boone is from a banking background. In the banking business, if you are fired, they clean your desk out for you and escort you to the door. Not apples to apples but don't see where he can add anything to the search.

I'm thoroughly convinced that any SECfootball programcan come up with $X amount for buyouts if/when needed. No matter how large.

Money will never be an excuse to keep a ****** coach in the SEC.

Arkansas fans and Nutt...... it will be like the movie Fatal Attraction. Except, Glenn Close (Ark fans) is at the house with boiling rabbit, laughing. As Michael Douglas (Nutt) walks in with divorce papers in hand.

Would you enter into a contract you can't get out of with something as volatile as college football?

that 10 million could have gone somewherephysicalnot just in a guy who is leaving town's wallet. Hurts no matter how you slice it.
