I didn't get to watch....glad to see Judge went deep again. Williams blowing the lead is normal. But a win is a win, keep it going.

Yanks dropped a game back to the Jays and Bosox today. Thanks Boone for your stupid analytics going to the pen for lefty against lefty. HTF did that work out? This dman pen SUCKS. Game winning home run. Or better yet let's not play 2 of your hottest hitters today giving them a day of rest you freakin' idiot.

12 big games coming up which will make or break the Yankees playoffs position. Astros, Blue Jays, Tigers, and Red Sox. 4 playoff teams and we will see what the Yankees are truly made of this late in the season against playoff caliber competition.

I would take 6 - 6 in these 12 games.

2for saw where Boone was at the Heels game last night. Did he come in to stay with you?

Bwahahahahahahaha

Boonie is known as a talker. If he spent time with 2for I would hope he would quickly become a listener/learner
Boone is a really nice man and fun to be around and to talk to and I can see why the payers like him. I like him, just not as our manager. lol

I can totally see that. You mentioned a previous interaction with Boonie that described him exactly as people speak of him. The guy really is beloved throughout all of baseball

My comment was more a humorous "what if" hypo where Boonie and 2for are locked in a room and Boonie goes "you're a baseball lifer, what do you think?" (and for a guy like Boone, describing someone as a baseball lifer would be a high honor)

I would pray there would be copious note taking on his end, HA.

Good win last night. Stanton going back into his patented funk swinging at pitches well out of the strike zone and just looking completely lost. This is why I've never liked him. His hot streaks are fun to watch but they are short lived.

lakelaw, I was thinging about the Boones and it's scary that I was watching Aaron's dad play ball before Aaron was born. DAMN!

I am sick and tire of Boone ambling out to the mound after 5 innings to pull a starter who had been dominant just because he gave up a hit. Warren was holding the Astros at bay and gave up a solo home run. Big deal. Leave him in. He'd only thrown 67 pitches. But no, Boone has to go to the pen and like usual every damn pitcher gives up a run, and he goes to Williams in a tie game in the 8th inning? lmfao Boone cannot handle a pitching staff and his method of relying on the pen to pitch 4 innings every game is what is killing the Yankees. He pulls the starters in the 5th inning at the first sign of trouble but leaves Williams in despite him not being able to get anyone out. You don't need a reliever in a game late who habitually walks batters. Williams needs to go to the minors and get his **** together or be DFA'd. And he should not be allowed to call his own pitches from here on out. That hasn't worked all year.

The constant lineup changes/days off and the pulling of a starter in the 5th or 6th after a hit are the two things that drive me crazy about Boone.

For a pitcher, especially a young pitcher....those are the innings they have to learn to pitch through to become long-time legit MLB starters. And going into an inning knowing they can't even give a whisper of an opportunity to the other team causes guys to try to be "perfect." That doesn't work. While there will be an occasional bump by doing so....its far more likely they work through it. That's just how baseball is.

I swear this bullpen better get their **** together. Doesn't matter who comes in it's a terrible performance. And I know Boone wants Stanton's bat in the lineup but he needs to keep him out of left field. Can't run or judge fly balls. The loss to Houston occurred after Stanton couldn't get to a fly ball any other outfielder would have and Houston started their rally after that.

And do we not have an infielder who can throw throw ball to first base without throwing it in the dirt. Damn!

Boone burns Bednar for the Toronto series by bringing him in in a no-save situation.
I agree but Bednar had not pitched in 6 days so you have to get him in there. Boone's fault for not pitching him in 6 days because there were games he could have been used. I've stated for years Boone can't manage a pen.

The night before, when the bullpen imploded, would've been a great time to have used him.
