SWG TD pass after a long run by the qb. Extra point is blocked, 6-0 Cowboys with 5:03 in the 1st
Another drive and TD pass for SWG. 12-0 after missed extra point. 28 secs in the 1st
SWG defense shutting down OG so far. Except for a face mask penalty they have no first downs
OG passing game basically nonexistent so far. An interception and fumble on back to back drives negates SWG bad punting and good OG field postion
OG finally moving the ball a bit. The two back formation with Tuttle and Hart grounding and pounding down the field
OG with the TD pass to finish the drive. 12-7 Cowboys with 3:45 left in the 3rd
OG defense strong once again. SWG punting game is killing themselves. OG starts next drive at the SW 30
OG qb on the keeper for a 27 yard TD run on the first play of the 4th quarter. 14-12 Grizzlies with 11:55 to go
SWG return man kneels at the 2 while catching the ball to put the Cowboys in terrible field postion
OG with the pick six to make it 20-12 with 10:22 left after missed extra point
OG defense living in the backfield now and posts another 3 and out. Punt return goes all the way to the SWG 26
Cowboys D holds and blocks the field goal. Score remains 20-12 with 7 mins to go
SWG driving now. 1st down at the OG 29 after a big run to show signs of life
TD pass on a post route. 2 point conversion good. 20 all with 3:20 left in regulation
OG with a first down. Then personal foul against SWG gives OG a first down at the Cowboy 36
OG with the game winning field goal. What a game!
Thanks for the updates, Nut. Did OG show any signs of a passing game, or is it going to be another year of depending on the run?
Other than the TD pass after grounding and pounding it all the way downfield, nope. Granted, SWG had the athletes to cover downfield but that was the area that obviously needed the most work.
There was a long pass completion downfield in the first half but it was negated by a holding penalty.
Tuttle and Hart are good backs, plus Creech has some wheels. The offensive line looked much better in the second half. So OG is good to go running the ball, as per usual.

Watched that play several times, being that it was play PA or read option, I don't see how the ref makes that call...smh
SW kinda runs a 2 QB system. Previous QB is a better WR than QB. You probably wouldn't see him at QB much in the second half.
When 14 was on the field SWG looked like a different team. They really deflated after that for the majority of the last three quarters
