Agreed. Here’s my point…if napiers offense worked at UL, he would certainly get it to work at FL with top end athletes. But, big but you have to get them to play their role and be unselfish….which is next to impossible with today’s (me first) athlete and NIL-transfer blah blah. The Coordinators in the SEC are better so yah Napier is gonna have to learn new tricks once sec coordinators get to study it.I want to rephrase, I actually agree that kids around the country have different trends by region. That is true. FL kids do have an edge, and have really always had it. I mean look at Miami and Florida State back in the day.
What I meant was that, I don't think that Florida kids' edgy attitude is why Bubba Napier failed. The expectation there is to get top classes and win 10 games plus. While it's easier to do that there than many other places, it's still not easy to actually pull it off. That pressure is crazy. Danny got closest than anybody since Meyer, and it ultimately ate him up too.
to me, that’s sabans superpower. Get a 5 star to shut up, do your job, we’ll win, and you will be a first rounder. Also getting skilled players to be ok with less reps, to “save the wear and tear”.
