Stay at the Atlantis.

Play golf at the Ocean Club. Michael Jordan hosts his celebrity tournament there every year. I also played at Cable Beach golf club... which was very much like the cheaper Municipal courses in the US. It wasn't a terrible course... but it's not nearly as nice as the Ocean Club.

Gambling is good at the Atlantis as well. Plenty of craps tables and table games. If you're an oldlady, there's also plenty of slots. If you're a poker player, there isn't a poker room in the Bahamas (or atleast there wasn't when I went) so don't waste time looking for one.

I went withmy fiance and her family... so I didn't get to do a 3 or 4 hour snorkeling trip like I wanted. I did, however, get on a booze cruise that let you snorkel for about 30 minutes. Watch out for barracuda's... I had one swim up to within 10 feet of me. Thank God he was scared of me... I think I walked on water back to the boat.

There's a very unique market in downtown as well... if you like bargaining for prices, go there for some momentos.

Also, be sure to have some Conch. I cant remember the name of the place, but all of the cab drivers know where to take you. There's this spot that they'll know when you ask "Where's the best place to get some Conch?".

Staying at one of the Atlantis owned hotels on Paradise Islandso we have full use of the waterpark. Is everything kinda pricey there?

I wouldn't venture very far, there really isn't much reason to go to Nassau. Find a good boat trip, do some snorkeling away from the resort, where they take you somewhere. I can't think of any specific restaurants to go to, just ask around. Lots to do around there.

I don't know if you are tied toParadise Island or not, but Harbour Island is awesome I have been there numerous times. I think Nassau has a speed ferry to get you there. It is a small island but there are a ton of things to do there. If you want to know more specifics on Harbour Island PM me, I usually go about once or twice a year. Also if you have the opportunity fly to the Exumas and snorkle or dive Thunderball Grotto it is amazing, coolest place i have snorkled in the Bahamas. The placewe flew into in the Exumas did not seem to have much as far as accomidations go, but there are a couple of smaller islands close. One is Fowl Cay, but I believe it is pretty expensive then there is Staniel Cay which is a little more reasonable.

I went to Nassauseven or eight years ago for honeymoon. We didn't have a lot of money once we got there, so we were pretty limited. We stayed at Crystal Palace which had gambling, pools, etc. Snorkeling is pretty good and not expensive. One of the things that sticks out in my mind was a botanical gardens that was within walking distance of the main drag in Nassau. It was beautiful and they had all sorts of animals there as well. I can't remember the name of it, but there can't be more than one botanical gardens in that area.
If you want to do any of the dolphin encounters or anything like that, you need to book it way ahead of time.

ETA: And yes, everything at Atlantis is expensive. Cool aquariums though.
