This isn't hard to figure out. It's almost impossible to find an act that will please all. Someone will love it and some will feel alienated.

You can go year by year and find a population of people that either liked it or didn't like it. It's music.....there's a reason why there are soooo many genres. If you love rock, you'll hate the rap/pop performers. If you love pop, you'll hate country and rock.....etc, etc.
Several things stood out to me about this yr.
#1 - since there are sooo many genres of music, I like the variety. And even though I generally don't care for rap a great deal, I do respect the variety.
#2 - I was really worried when this cast was announced that the performance would be super inappropriate. The SB is a family and general community event. Language should be tempered.....nudity/sex should be toned down.....etc. This year's performance was one of the more tame in recent memory.
