Dawson came in and failed this team. It's hard to make a mediocre offense worse, but he did. Especially considering the returning talent that was all freshmen last year.

Stoops needs to clear house on that side. Everyone. I know that the receiver coach is a great recruiter, but now we need coaching up. Schlarman has done nothing. Scott can stay. He must be doing something decent if we can run behind that line.

We have a good base that someone can come in and make better. Immediately.

Stoops will just hire another "Air Raid" coordinator and then hang a millstone with the words "balanced" etched in it under his neck. He is a fool. If he wants to run the ball, hire a coordinator that wants to run the ball.

It's hard to argue that coaching didn't play a part in our regression this season. We had almost all of our key players returning on that side of the ball and we played weaker schedule. Some think it was Dawson and others think Stoops wouldn't allow him enough control over the play calling. I don't know which is correct, but we definitely took a step backwards.

I agree that the oline hasn't shown improvement but we shouldn't have had less ypg than last season. We had practically the same line with another year's experience and a softer schedule,
