No way I can continue to let perimeter defense suck and not at least throw Hawkins in there as a stopper and see how he does.

Kid locked down on the 6'8" Stauskas in the NCAA last year. We're giving up freaking layups.

guys - seriously: sure there were a couple of missed/blown calls, but that's true of any game, no matter who is playing. The problem is NOT officiating.

Where we are right now is strictly on UK, although gonna give some props to A&M for playing pretty well. As others have said, no energy, no fight - lazy. Those last 4 minutes need to continue through the 2nd half; if they do - then I'm with Caneintally that UK wins by 15.

If we continue to play as we did the first 16 minutes - we might win a squeaker, or, ,we may lose. I'm not so sure a loss wouldn't be good right now, given the seeming attitudes.

Don't get me wrong, I do NOT want to lose any game ever. But something has to wake these guys up, IMO.

Yep. Put in Willis and Hawkins. I don't know that they would help our offense, but at least it sends a message to the rest of the guys.

Missing Alex right now big time.
Yeah, we don't have enough good players to beat A&M.
So far we don't.
We have good players. They're just not playing well. If we can't beat teams the caliber of A&M without Alex, we're in big trouble.

Yep. And at a minimum you know he will bring the intensity - someone needs to light a fire under these guys.

Gotta agree. Don't understand how you can trust a kid to guard the best player on the other team in the NCAA tourney, but you don't in the second conference game against a mediocre team without its best player? Cal doesn't trust Willis or Hawkins one iota.

Haven't seen the word platoon this entire thread! We started playing poorly when Cal went away from it. Now he is struggling to make the right substitutions and the rhythm and chemistry is just all wrong. I think the last two games have destroyed some confidence of some players who are playing, the ones who aren't ( Willis and Hawkins) maybe should be given a shot.\, how much could they hurt. GOODBYE PLATOON

The issue with Hawkins is that he can't make the outside shot. If he comes in, the zone gets packed in even more. They have to extend the zone with the Harrisons or Booker in the game.

2nd Half coming up,let's hope Calipari makes some adjustments and gets these guys motivated,I think sometimes Calipari designs play to highlight certain players for their families ex: Harrisons today, and they aren't having a good game so far.

LET'S GO CATS !!!!!

GO BIG BLUE !!!! GO BIG BLUE !!!!

That is the third freaking runout where the Harrison guys have failed to convert. Just terrible!! They should rarely be able to block you on a runout!

Hey refs, call the first foul when it happens instead of ignoring it because it's on the home team and the "double foul" won't ever happen. Jackasses.

It's bad that I think KAT sitting for awhile is a good thing. Starting to remind me of a lazy Magloire.

I wouldn't have minded seeing Towns go Boogie with that and throw that asshat to the floor.

We are getting killed by wide open layups
I agree that we are getting beat inside, which is awful. But they have gotten 12 points worth of calls.

Andrew needs to limit his 3 point shot attempts to about one a game, he is not a jump shooter.
