Now can we not let up on the 3 pt defense this half? I hope we can keep up the pressure. It could get tight quickly if they start hitting a bunch of 3's because we aren't ready to stay connected and in front of the shooters.

BB is not a drunk and has never had a problem with anyone. I don’t know why you all are going back and forth just drop it.

lol, well listen, why don't you just go read the posts...?? maybe that would be a good start for ya.

Im siding with BB based on his generous use of quality GIFage. No idea what the argument is.

Cal needs to text this to Brooks.

Had that game on the drive home.. if you win it, you sigh relief and head home, happy you got the win..

but if you lost, as Indy and Archie did, it does not carry over well. They are no firmly out of the tournament, Langford didn't even have a shot attempt in the 2nd I believe... if you're staff, you are bringing this game up to Brooks like "is this really where you want to go?"

He had some attempts. They were just bad attempts and he missed one of two at the end of the game.

IQ continuing his development may be the key. I don’t see Hagans developing any type of real offense outside of 5 feet and there are going to be games in the tournament where teams choose to sag way off like tn and LSU.

Hagans starts over penetrating and trying to do too much in those games. IQ becoming more consistent leading the offense and shooting will be the difference in at least 1 if not multiple tournament games while using Hagans as a disrupter on defense similar to Hawkins.

IQ's D has came a long way in a short time . He does a good job most of the time , And I think he he can stick 3's .. he's good , but I like him best at the 2 , not PG , when pressure is applied he is severely TO prone . Also I think Hagans 15-18 footer isn't bad , he just lacks confidence . His stroke looks fine .

Offensively and in regards to consistency, PJ is entering a realm that has only been known to a few forwards since probation: Mash, Mercer, Walker, maybe Randle.

That is just not true. Hagans has a nice J . It is about confidence. Lets not play revisionist history because he has been bad 4 out of 5 games. He is still one of the 5-8 best pg in college just in a freshman slump. Quickley was the better pg the first month so it is no surprise he is playing well again. Kid is a baller too.
I didn’t say IQ was going to take his job and lead us in the tournament or that he needed to.

Just that I don’t see Hagans getting his 18% 3pt shooting up to a point by tournament time to where we don’t run into a game where a team sags way off to clog everything up. In the games that teams have done that, he has had more turnovers than assist. It’ll likely happen in the S16 or prior as the better teams will have the athletes to try to play us straight up.

But when it happens, IQ will be the X factor in that game and he needs to continue developing to be ready. We lost the LSU game bc Hagans played bad against their strategy, and IQ played just as bad and couldn’t run the offense or knock down shots to keep them honest and create space.

Our combined PG play was abysmal for that game. There is likely going to be a game that we have to PG by committee and take the best of both of their games to win.
