You can spin this anyway you want but we have no offense. None. Oweh is not the SEC player of the year. The Purdue game was an anomily as if they didnt shoot so bad we lose. When can we have a team that hits free throws. Our defense was horrid. We supposedly hit the portal to improve our defense but oh my goodness. Georgetown hit everything within the 3 point line. Took our players off the drive multiple times. If this is the most expensive NIL team in the NCAA this is ridiculous. I seriously hope I am overreacting.
We shot 33% tonight. That’s an anomaly as well. We were without 2 very important pieces and another who will join us sometime later. Yes. I think you’re overreacting.

I think we should wait until we can evaluate every guy in what will be their true position and role with the team before we declare it a lost season. We played a scrimmage against a team that clearly wanted it bad without three of our most important pieces tonight.

Anyone declaring it a lost season is a dumbass. But we sure did suck tonight. And there's nothing wrong with being pissed about it.

Then why is he here? When we signed him people were saying he had first round potential, I don't see that at all. Talent evaluation has been an issue for a while, I hope that isn't carrying over from Cal to Pope.

Just exhibitions but from what I've seen he's looked like the worst player on the team and it's not necessarily close.

That was painful to watch, no doubt. We've got to get healthy, but the part that was more disturbing to me is how Georgetown manhandled us. They showed opponents how to beat us, I'm afraid. We've got to be able to handle the physicality. And we've got to hit our free throws. I think we missed a dozen free throws in this game. I love Chandler's athleticism, and that fast break, double pump dunk was awesome, but he struggles when people get physical with him. And that will become the scouting report on him, unfortunately, until he overcomes it.

Regarding Georgetown, they couldn't miss. If they shoot like that, they won't lose many. Some of those shots were wide open and just poor defense by UK, but a bunch of those were tough shots and they just made a bunch. They shot 55% for the game, which is the best for an opponent in recent memory for me.

Glad this one doesn't count. We've got a lot to work on, and we've got to get healthy.

He's fine as a rotation piece, but I hope we don't need him to reach that potential that likely isn't coming.

I turned it off at 11 minutes to go. But what I saw was turds. No offense. No defense. Torched one on one. No energy. No effort. Didn’t see MP really trying to stop it either, so maybe he didn’t care. I saw GT players def wanted it more, so did EC.

I still question our athleticism; as I did before and after Purdue. Purdue is slow as hell, and they aren’t athletic either, so there’s that.

We aren’t the good at shooting 3.

we have some issues .

I have a very hard time seeing him make it in the NBA. He tries way too hard. A guy with his experience who has any hope of making the NBA would at least hit the rim on that wide open last shot. He bricked way off.
I’m hoping his shot improves. Maybe he’s not back 100% yet. He doesn’t look like the same guy from last year. He’s probably never gonna be a sniper but his shooting percentage on jumpers wasn’t horrible last year.

Yep. And Noah thought he was the next thing. He’s got to step it up or he’s unplayable.

Do people really think Chandler should see the floor ever? He has zero fluidity or game. I’m sorry! I’m not sure what anyone sees in his game.
I will never understand the amount of butt whip Chandler takes. Everytime he has a bad game, you would think he was the only one. Chandler shot poorly, but his line was 11/7/3 with a -7 +-. Noah went 4/1/1 with a -16. I think if Chandler were from Hopkinsville, he might not take the same abuse

Chandler has better stats because he has ball in his hand

He was atrocious in decision making and defense

An encouraging stat is that we crushed them on the offensive glass. That was a weakness of the team last season. Our FTA/FGA was also much better than theirs. We out did them in the "hustle" and "physical" associated stats.

Otherwise, play was poor from our wing playmakers. They struggled to create. Chandler, without major improvement, is not fit to be a primary ballhandler.

Our interior defense and rebounding is not that big problem. I think we will be fine at this with JQ/Mo/Moreno/Jelavic

Main problem is our guard and wing can not guard anyone...

Could be improved with DA returning.

We had our two PGs out dude. You cannot take much of anything away from this game.

Only one thing I am fine is rebounding, seems that Pope only successfully makes upgrade on rebounding

Defense is still pretty bad and will be easily crushed by althetic teams

I don’t know what to think. I knew we were more athletic than Purdue and Georgetown is more athletic than us obviously. More Physical too. You have to be crazy to not be a little concerned with this game tonight. Same as being crazy to not be excited what we saw against Purdue.
It's preseason but I agree. We will be playing teams like GT in the SEC and their defense crowded us and pushed through our screens with ease. They definitely outperformed us all game.
Pause for concern is our offense to me. We don't have a go to guy when we need a bucket.
We looked like a middle of the pack SEC team to me last night.
Lots of hope that this team can use this loss as motivation to get better.

If you can’t see they neither of those players are Kentucky level players, there’s no discussion to be had. They both are Not elite players, at all.

YES … They are spot players, just like they were last year.
