Great INT Drew. The receiver wasn’t even open, and you still threw it to him…and it was a terrible throw. I stand by what I said in another post…lack of preparation and poor execution = not a winner.

The better team won tonight, but I’m proud of our guys. They fought hard.

PSU just isn’t on the same level as the elite programs. That’s become obvious.

No shame in that. We just have to ease our expectations in these games.
We probably won't have high expectations next year or the year after given our recent recruiting.

Reasons we SHOULD have high expectations:
$700 million stadium upgrade
Possibly the bet fans and atmosphere in college football
Very high paid staff

Not proud of myself for the negativity during the game thread. Bad read on the INT. But, he led a gutsy comeback when they were written off (me included). Still think AK has to add some different flavors to Dairy Queen blizzard, or maybe just order a traditional one. Disappointed the defense couldn't get a stop, but they were on the field way too long for the first 3 quarters. Oh well, on to UCLA. 1 game at a time. Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it. Can't wait for next week.

Dante Moore is a fantastic quarterback.

Agreed, but the play calling was so bad all day and if it wasn’t, we wouldn’t have been in that situation.

Not only was the play calling bad, but the execution too. Honestly, I think the squad lacks emotional leadership and fortitude. With so many upper classmen, it blows my mind.

At some point, the staff needs to figure out what they can do well, and call those plays.

So, it’s Franklin, Kotelnicki, Knowles, Allar, Singleton, the defense as a whole …

If those guys were all better, we might have won?

All those guys gathered together, full of awfulness, and we still had a tie score at the end of regulation. Imagine if just one of them was competent, amirite?

And if they all didn’t suck, we’d win by a million bajillion points.

And let’s not forget that Oregon had the same number of points that we had at the end of the game….i guess their team sucks too.

That is BS. Take away that stupid overturned fumble and we win.
Oregon’s All B1G kicker makes that first FG and they win. We can do this all night.

Oregon was better for most of the game on both lines. Their freshman QB outplayed our senior, 3-year starter. On the road. And their skill guys on offense are all elite talents, albeit young.

They are a dynamite team. There’s no shame in not being at that level. Great teams win these games at home.

We lost in double overtime…how is that not on the same level?

The offense was not effective for 3.5 quarters. They came back but fell a little short. They have the talent. Wish the first 3.5 quarters could have been just a little more effective.

The fumble was strange. The live play showed the ball clearly come out but the replay from a different angle showed he was down.

But as far as who outplayed who:
Total offense: Oregon 424, PSU 276
First Downs: Oregon 20, PSU 15
Possession: Oregon 34 min, PSU 26 min
Turnovers: Oregon 0, PSU 1

How can you say B.S.?

Well, no … they’re awesome. It’s just that everyone affiliated with PSU is awful. Which is why we tie the awesome teams at the end of regulation. #loserlogic

Because that's what GreggK does. He's rather petulant.

Honestly, I'm not even that mad--I was angrier when it was 17-3 but we came back and showed signs of life--now we have to fix a lot of things before we play Ohio State

This is not rocket science stuff. Anyone who watched this game could clearly see that Oregon was the better team. They were more physical, faster and simply bigger than the Nits. And they made plays when they needed them. They certainly deserved to win. I'm not going to find fault with our team for losing to a better team. We simply need to recruit better players and be better. Bottom line.

Yet at the end of regulation the score was tied.

Yup. Only reason why we even had a chance was Oregon started to ease up way too early and Drew had nothing to lose after throwing up on his shoes for 3 1/2 quarters. Oregon was clearly the better team. Better offensive and defensive game plans, better QB, better receivers.

Moore is a redshirt sophomore at his second school and sat behind Gabriel last year redshirting.

How the f do you come out failing to execute for 3 qtrs when you had 2 weeks to prepare. Maybe the helicopter trips to high schools are interfering with the actual job of coaching.

And what was the score at the end of regulation. So if you’re right, than Oregon’s head coach should be fired for letting up on a weak opponent.
