Yes! I was like, “how many bad fouls calls can you call on Kentucky?” Kentucky would’ve won by 10 to 15 if not for the poor foul calling.
Florida can't claim we got home cooking, that's for sure.
Never seen such one sided Refs for Fla.
I hate the delayed whistle after the shot is missed. If it’s a foul, it’s a foul. Florida got at least a half dozen of those today.
Some of those call against UK makes you wonder if the ref's are on the take and trying to make Fla win.
I haven’t watched the game. I’m just about to, but I was following it and almost every foul that was on a Kentucky player was called a shooting foul and you can’t play tight defense. If you think you’re gonna get called for a foul every time the team shooting the only reason uk was failed half the time they were was at the end of the game on before it was falling on every possession, but the cat stepped up and hit the free throws. Just look at the amount of free-throws taken versus the amount of fouls Kentucky made
One sided the entire game. Beyond pathetic. Glad we overcame it with offense
I just loved when Garrison received his 5th foul when another Florida player runs into the Florida player Garrison is defending after he misses the shot. All 3 topple down and it's a foul on Garrison.

Garrison and Butler both had totally phantom calls. Carr at the end of the game, as well. Did they make even one illegal screen call?
5-6 of those fouls were desperation time and almost if not every fout against. The cats was a shooting foul
That’s exactly how the refs manipulate games. Yeah sure, the fouls were even, but look at how many more free throws Florida shot.

My biggest gripe with SEC officials is the down low stuff. UF played very physical down low, which I don’t have an issue with, but we didn’t seem to get that same leeway.

Went thru a quick primer with my wife on what we know about the history of graft/cheating in sports -- remember, it's not about winning or losing with the refs, it's about moving the line....
I’ve seen worse. Definitely felt like there was an effort to keep the game close. Lot of ticky-tack stuff on UF drives. Phantom foul on Butler on a 3. Florida bigs allowed to be about as rough as they could.
Florida fouled 2 times in the last 2 1/2 minutes.
I get your frustration.
But I thought the Officials did a great job today.
(Missed a few, but both ways)
Plus I don't recall Coach Pope or our Players complaining.
To be fair, Pope and our players rarely complain.
One thing I’ll say is that we need to do a better job of blocking out. Force the refs to make that call. The aggressor often wins.

The problem is how you officiate the freedom of movement: We are not in 80 and 90 anymore.
As big : You cannot use arm-bar to push in the back …you cannot dislocate defender by pushing with your hips 4 -5 feet, you cannot use your extended arms/ feet to set screens outside of your cylinder …
As guard : you cannot have two hands on the player…I don’t care if you are just defending or trying to get open in offense.
The SEC crews tend to allow more contact , it’s almost like they believe we are still in the 80 and 90s. It’s part of the game preparation, when the lead official would say: we know they are going to be physical, let see if they can play through some contact…. The problem with that you set the wrong tone for the game and you end up in slug fest… players and coaches don’t know how you are officiating the game when in the second half you become whistle happy ….
Second point , Other conference officials do not allow this much contact and that’s a point of emphasis from the conference to the officials…. In the NCAA tournament sec team tend to be more physical but depending what crew you get you might get in foul trouble as a team. Some of that is now compensated by having referees officiating multiple conferences….however, you also get in situations where you have mix crews where an Sec official might blow the whistle different than a ACC or big 12 or big 10 ….
As long as the refs are paid by conferences that want to push a different style of play , you are not going to have a uniform whistle across the board….
You have also the issue of overworked officials….which are doing too many games.

All the worrying and whining about officials is just lame and weak. Same thing for announcers.
I counted 4 fouls in the last minute.
Just before the intentional fouls started the ft’s were UF 32. UK16. Fla couldn’ take a shot without getting fouled.
I was going to post that. The fouls were even.
There were bad calls both ways just like every SEC forever. Worst officials in basketball.
We fouled them more on shots. They took 11 more foul shots than we did.
They outscored us by 4 at the line.
There’s only one negative from this game for UK.
Defensive rebounding.
We took care of the ball. Only 6 turnovers. We shot 58% from the field. 48% from 3. 75% free throws.
We passed like wizards with 25 assists.
If we had just cut their offensive rebounds in half we win by 15-20.

I misread the Play by Play report (that accompanies Box Score)
That doesn't change my opinion about the Officials today.
The frustration stems from that 2nd half stretch where we needed a stop and got whistled for questionable fouls on every possession.
The officiating was terrible, usually the calls even out over the 40 minutes but the
gators came out on top with 11 bad calls going their way.
Fla got a lot of big calls by the refs - otherwise UK wins by 10-15
