Word is that O'Neal Wilder has quit the team, not surprising I guess.. considering his track potential

If true, this ranks up there with Wes Carroll transferring before the new staff was named. Next year, we will have a MUCH better qb tossing the ball... Why the hell would you leave?</p>

and he usually doesn't burn his guy deep like he should. So, best of luck to him on our track team. It was a good experiment.

Montana would give someone like Featherstone a better opportunity to make a play as appose to the Lees and Relfs of the world.

he said in an interview this year he plays football becaus that's what pays for school. I took that to mean, I do this because I have to right now.

can't really blame him, considering most consider him as one of the US favorites in the 400m for the 2012 Olympics in London...

yep - no beef on this with me. I think he wanted to try football and see if it developed into something he might could make a career out of and then see how he liked it compared to track.

His natural talent and maybe his internal desire just appear to be more track oriented. I wish him well and hope he makes the 2012 Olympics

he stuck with football after he put up such ridiculous times as a freshman running track. I got killed for voicing that opinion by many on here because "there's more money in football." The guy has the potential to be special on the track and I'm glad he's going to focus his attention on that, allegedly.

I guess we will be alright with Bolden coming in.

Bumphis
Bolden
Berry

The Killer B's?

We really need to get Sanders. Need to see something out of Ricco, C. Smith and Heavens.

football paid for school. He played to be on a full scholorship. I honestly think it was that simple.

im glad he quit. track is where he needs to be, he is more talented and track and probably more competitive and motivated in it. chris smith is READY, its highly evident. Chris is a big strong kid with big strong hands, he really goes up and fights for the ball. I think Ricco will come along as the season goes, especially after a year in the weightroom. Bumphis, Berry, Heavens, Ricco, Chris, Bolden (possibly Vincent Sanders, Malcom Johhnson, Lance Lewis etc) plus rashod henry (if he gets in). Michael Carr is staying at wideout and the kid is going to be a great one for us, a great one. I also think we will leave jameon lewis on offense and put jamerson love and jay hughes as our cornerbacks for this class.

I think he might be State's to lose anyway, but now that gives Mullen one more selling point.
