*****Ohio St vs Iowa Game Thread*****

[IowaCityLit]

So dumb.

Who knows? Way early. But the Big 10 is no joke. Minny and Wisky and Nebraska won’t be laying down like last year. Iowa in for a gauntlet.

[IA79Cam]

I actually like our playcalling we just arent executing. This is as wide open as you will ever see iowa play under ferentz.

[HawkBall23]

Not very mobile is he?

He can move enough to not be a statue.

All the roll outs and then that keeper that got enough to move the sticks.

His internal clock's battery must have died before kickoff.

That strip sack to set up the OSU TD and that last sack were just horrendous QBing.

[7thSummitCoach]

Admit it. Being down 10-6 after 1. Y'all would have taken that. The problem is how it happened.

[Rambler Hawk]

Internal clock broken

Yup...

[RagnarLothbrok]

Hey, guys. Breaking news: Ohio State is good at football.

Who knew?

[Whtnhawk]

8 rushes in 1st qtr. 3 by Hank.

[Opie Oids]

Ugh

[RagnarLothbrok]

Yeah, that opening fumble was costly.

[Doctor Hawktagonapus]

Can't miss the pick if you go for the ball there

[LetsGoHawks83]

What is Lutmer doing there!?!

Play the ball!

[HawkBall23]

HOW in the WIDE world of F* did Wallace not (at least) knock that down!?!?!

sonuva ... !!

[MAKhawks]

Northwestern

[Rambler Hawk]

WTF - Major HOLD on OSU!!

[Mitch122_rivals]

OPI

[vamchawk]

It’s like some people live in an alternate reality. The same Iowa fans who got upset I criticized the Iowa offense for a lackluster performance against a mediocre Iowa State defense are upset that Tim Lester isn’t running the football every play today.

Anyone criticizing the play calling today doesn't understand scratching where it itches.

[NIhawk79]

A little push in back possibly

[HoggI74]

Too long developing routes for a 3rd and 10 against this defense. Either have to have something quick and get yards to force a 4th down decision, or design to get Hank out of the pocket.

Can't just have him drop back and hope a route develops down field on 3rd and long.........

3rd and 10's are not our friends...

[EvilMonkeyInTheCloset]

It's time for this defense to force a turnover.

[ConvenientParking]

Bent fast, don't break fast?

[Hawksfor3]

Yeah, that opening fumble was costly.

Now, we need to force them to fumble.

[Moral]

Is Bo Jackson related to Bo Nix?

[uihawk82]

HOW in the WILD world of F* did Wallace not knock that down!?!?!

sonuva ... !!

Because J Smith pushed him just enough in the back to move wallace off the ball. no call of course on the two hand push, the downfield camera on the replay showed the push

[Anon1750875978]

My gawd, Lutmer...you're in front of Smith in coverage???

[LetsGoHawks83]

DOINK!!!

[ConvenientParking]

Doink!

[Doctor Hawktagonapus]

HUGE

[HawkBall23]

He pulled the Bears Doink!!!

Now come on offense. Let's see 7!

[Hawksfor3]

He was pushed in the back by Smith was some of it.

[Andrewrayhons]

[TCTrojanFootball]

Doink

[AFM22]

Hahaha Doink! Let’s goooo!

[HoggI74]

Smith pushes Wallace in the back just enough to get the catch...

[Jonesy5960]

[Manfredi]

With everything that's happened... I'll take 10-6

[Rambler Hawk]

Is Bo Jackson related to Bo Nix?

Smith pushed off. That is why

[LetsGoHawks83]

That was massive after the show string tackle!!

Come on long TD drive here. Then it gets LOUD

[2D]

Hawks are still in this. Gotta start pounding on their defense who've been out there the longest.
