I have no problem with noon starts, especially later in the season as the weather gets colder. Good to be featured on CBS too.

PSU/OSU was literally a noon start 2-days ago.

I'm on a 6:38a flight from JAX to EWR, which lands at 8:59a that morning. Picking up the rental and driving straight to Piscataway. See you all there.

The current B1G media deal allowed for this game to fit into a Noon (CBS), 3:30 (FOX), or 7:30 (NBC) slot. all were available and it was just a matter of which network had first pick for this week (and none of us know that formula).
So now we know that CBS had first pick this week, and they chose our game with tOSU (not surprisingly as the Buckeyes always get big ratings numbers and we are a nice story).
Personally I would have prefered a 3:30 or 7:30 slot, but it is what it is.

Not a fan of this logic. Tailgating is supposed to include drinking. You can't drink postgame and then get behind the wheel. Occasionally, if we win, I'll hang around and drink water. But it's not nearly the same thing.

CFB is the only sport it seems to prioritize noon for marquee games.
Even the Big Ten Conference Championship is scheduled for 8pm on December 2nd.
Shouldn't it be at noon - since noon is the marque time?

Don't give two dookies on kickoff time. So excited for this game - and nervous, too, as I know OSU is capable of destroying us if we don't play clean and well. The average score against them the last 9 years is 53-11.

If you're lucky that's all it is. A vomit machine sat behind us in 124 at the Iowa game last year. Fortunately for me, but unfortunately for an unsuspecting couple seated behind us, we were spared.

I'm a Nets (since the NJ days) fan but will watch the Knicks when the Nets aren't on.
Knicks finally get good and I can't tune in.
Also, not being able to watch the Devils is a huge PITA.
It really blows. I'm not a huge hockey fan but I do follow the Devils. To be shut out on both really sucks. Probably need to bite the bullet and get the MSG Plus App, because this thing is never going to get settled.
The way I view 12 noon starts is that I can actually get home and watch the rest of the day's games. Tailgate there instead, so I understood the spirit of your initial post.
