I hope we don't get blown out on national TV. All our previous ABC games have been embarrassing losses.

This is the day to show the world what we are made of! Stay competitive and let's have a good game, great stadium atmosphere and maybe a win? :)

Oh great, a national a-whooping and chance for the national media to talk about Flood's lying and rule breaking.

OSU is starting to look better again from the 2nd half of Maryland game and now again against PSU. I said JT Barrett should have started the season and many pundits as well but who the hell are any of us to argue Urban Meyer. Who knows what going on in practice or what his health may be. I think they're starting to find their way back to him and his mobility adds another dimension.

I agree with above this is a house money game. No one expects anything from us just lay it all out there and see what happens.

I hope we have an answer for their QB option running plays. Our DL and LB's will be tested by the best in the country. But Rutgers has already shown we can go toe to toe with the best.

posted on the other site.....oh boy

CHICAGO (Oct. 18, 2015) – The Rutgers football game versus No. 1 Ohio State will air nationally on ABC, the Big Ten office announced Sunday. An 8 p.m. start at High Point Solutions Stadium, it will be the first RU football home game in program history to broadcast on the network nationally.

The Scarlet Knights have previously appeared at home on ABC with a regional designation.

Rutgers (3-3, 1-2) is coming off a thrilling 55-52 over Indiana on the road, overcoming a 25-point deficit in the second half. Next Saturday’s game will mark the second all-time meeting against the Buckeyes (7-0, 3-0) and first game versus a top-ranked opponent since hosting Miami in 2002.

Does this mean we get Kurt and Chris Fowler?

Not necessarily. They've done prime time SEC games on ESPN (SEC can't appear on ABC) and have also done afternoon games.

Highly doubt we get that crew..but will still be great to get the slot no matter who is calling it.

Game day going to James Madison in case anyone had any fantasies about them showing up here.

we can hope that for some reason Ohio state coughs up the ball four or five times....it can happen.... anyway, I just want us to hang around this game as long as possible....stay within 14..... if Ohio state is as good as they seem, they probably tack on late to make it look worse than it was for most of the game..... but I want us to look good for as long as possible....

getting off to a good start would be great...... national stage boys, just as we dreamed about

if we win, THATwould be something

Nice exposure

Hummm...don't know..

You think announcers are going to stay quiet on Flood/ Carroo suspensions? How about the arrests and home invasions? Those things are certainly central to RU's season so far. National games with unfamiliar teams like Rutgers often usually have a broad introduction.

Then of course you have to worry about a whupping after the dirty laundry. Not sure RU really needs a national game right now!

Is it going to be mentioned? Yeah, probably. But it'll be a quick season recap showing what a roller coaster the past 8 weeks has been, it's not like it's going to be talked about for 2 hours.

Rutgers has no excuse to lose this game. If Memphis can beat Ole Miss, then we can definitely beat OSU at home nect week. We absolutely have to beat one of the ranked team this year. Indiana win was good, but they are not ranked. MSU was close. It is time to get the job done next Saturday. BIG needs a big upset win. Next week's game could be it. But we need Caroo.

No excuse except they've won 20 games in a row. I'll assume you're joking

Haha - this game takes over RU/WVU weekend so that means it will snow or be raining in Piscataway.

Why is ABC doing this when both teams are in the BIG?

This game should be on BTN like MSU.

ABC is going to build up the game, Ohio State and The NYC angle. They aren't stupid. They want eye balls. While they might be covering a Fox property, the rights are going to come up again soon. I seriously doubt they will want to risk pissing off a member of the B1G ....wow.....say that a few times - such a sweet sound to the ears.

I'm pulling for Mike Patrick.

Edit: it was McDonaugh and Spielman last year, and Patrick's called two OSU games already this year. The Nessler/Blackledge call is sounding about right.
