Ohio state vs RU national broadcast on ABC

Ummmm Kirk has been known to be at Game Day in Oregon and then call the Miami game at night in Miami. Private Jet!
all the off field stuff will be mentioned for a minute but that's about it. No one cares about that stuff. The broadcast will be heavily slanted toward Ohio State anyhow
How many players who started on that 2002 team would start on this one? 2? 3? Brackett, Smith and Jones. Anyone else?
The difference is that the U played the most vanilla game possible and slept walked through the most of the game.
Definitely those 3 + Shawn Seabrooks and Raheem Orr over Mera.

Tony Berry wasn;t on that team. Brandon Haw was the other starting CB.
Marty Pyszczymuka at Center might be another guy to consider.
I didn't say fowler and herby wouldn't do the game, I just said no game day here.
I'm well aware that Kurt often travels from game day to another site.
Wow...I hope it's a game for at least 1 1/2 quarters. Would hate for OSU to go up 14-0 in a blink of an eye.
Even if everything breaks right, I dont think we win. OSU is just too good. What we need is at least another game like MSU where we are in it and the crowd is rowdy.
What we really need to aboid is something like last year, where we don't llok like we belong in the same league with them.
Heres the deal. If we look like crap then no one will care about our offfield stuff - because by the time they really get into it (i.e. by the time its a blowout and they need to fill time) they will ahve turned it off. If we look good no one will care - because people are there to watch a FB game, not worry about some program that they dont root for's offfield issues.
In short - as always, it comes down to what happens on the field. Off the field is just noise to sell newspapers.
The comeback over Indiana is even bigger in retrospect. I don't see ABC touching this game with a 2-4 Rutgers team. They can sell the competitive losses to Washington St. and Michigan State and the dramatic comeback over IU. Plus, Rutgers has a top 5 wide receiver that deserves some national attention.
If RU lost, it likely would have been an ABC regional game with a reverse mirror on ESPN2. Once the other 10/24 TV decisions were made it was a foregone conclusion it would be on ABC in some capacity.
Pilch was barely 260 soak and wet and Schiano put him at center. Our run game got destroyed with him at center. Loved his contribution to the program but he would be a fullback on our team now. That was a stubborn move Greg made along with having J. Ito kickoff, fg kick and punt in 07.
