We have to commit to stopping the run like we did against Vandy. If LSU burns us with the pass then so be it. The weather could be an equalizer. I don't think we win, but we could keep it within 14 points.

The only thing that scares me is I think LSU may be due for a breakout/blowout performance.

we lose by 3 tds at least. if mullen can keep this game close i will be highly impressed. LSU can push us around all day with their superior athletes.

LSU looked like **** most of last season and hasn't looked much better yet this season. They do look like a team that could be real good if they ever get it together though.

I don't think they will be able to burn us thru the air. Jordan Jefferson has not thrown for more than 200 yards in a game this year.

I'm getting pretty wooly which is a bad thing. You know how Alabama usually will play down to the level of their competition. Well, it seems like we have a sensational way of making a lot of our opponents play the game of their year. I just hope that doesn't happen this weekend.

I'm packing up for the 3.5 hour drive to see my first game of the year in person. Nothing like driving for a total 7 hours after watching a skull 17ing. Course, I've done it many time over the past few years.

I guess I'm just a slow learner.

Does conditional wool count? As in if we throw for 175+, no way we don't win? Otherwise, probably not?

about playing a team that I can barely remember the last time we came into the 4th quarter with a legitimate chance of beating. If we can come down to the last 5 minutes of the game and still be within one score it wll be a major breakthrough.

to have a chance, we have to keep their running game in check and, when we have the ball, be able to run effectively to set up manageable third down situations.

i think they'll hit some big pass plays. if we can "bend but not break" on those plays, maybe we can keep it close enough to have a chance to win.

If lsu is so good then why did Vandy play them such a good game in Baton Rouge? If you can't allow yourself to get wooly this week I don't know why one would even follow our football team this year.

OK, how do we use Mcphee in this game? Do we line him up at DE like the previous games, or do we bring him inside to help stuff the run? I think how he and our defensive line perform will go a long way in how close we keep this game. I am like some of you that believe if we are within a score going into the 4th quarter that we have made major strides.

The other key will be getting some kind of positive production from the passing game without committing the major turnover ala Auburn.

But Damn, I think we are due for a little luck. Unless we get some breaks and turn them into points, I think we get beat like we always do.

LSU has the best overall talent in the West. If it's close, it's because LSU doesn't play well.

I'm a bit wooly. Maybe we win, probably we don't. Hopefully we are competitive for four quarters, we might not be. But I've had one of those feelings, just a little one, since Vandy. I expect us to get beat, after all, it's been nearly a decade since we beat LSU, but who knows. Perhaps we are due some luck.

Croom always used to pull an upset out of nowhere. I hope Mullen can one-up him.

the score will be relatively close due to LSU's offensive woes but their defense will contain us. We lose but it isn't laughably embarrassing.

...close LSU Win -45% chance
LSU blowout - 30% chance
close MSU Win - 25% chance

Probably the best odds in 10 years.

doesn't go 3-5 in the SEC last year, and they sure as hell aren't losing to Troy by 3 touchdowns in the 3rd quarter at home or lose to a 4 win Arkansas team(their 5th win was LSU).

It also took them 3 1/2+ quarters to put away a sparsely talented Sylvester Croom run football team at home and gave up 24 points to a 100+ ranked offense.

doesn't mean best team. I'd argue that nobody on our side can match their top 44, I don't know if UF can for that matter. However, when it comes to preperation and game day coaching, most everybody can match up with Miles - especially now that Croom is gone.

My wool was been hiding cautiously this week but its out today. Damn it's friday, and we got a 2-1 record and a bulldog bash tonight I'm feeling great. Along with a top 10 team in the stadium tomorrow I don't see how you can't be fired up. And seeing Ole Miss lose last night has made my week about as perfect as it can get. Beating LSU will be icing on the cake and here's to hoping Mullen makes his first statement at the helm in this game tomorrow. Baaaahhhh

"best talent doesn't mean best team."

Exactly. Who gives a **** what their talent is? All that matters is how good of a team they are. If you think they're that good of a team than, fine. I think they're vastly overrated, though..

We were an extra point against Kentucky from being tied with them in the standings, and I don't think anyone would call our team even decent last season.

You might think they're a lot better than last year, but I don't see it.

and not the one we had against Auburn....then yeah, I think we have a chance. We haven't been too bad at playing these early home games either.

not sure what IT is yet, but I'm feeling something.

I'm convinced the whole game comes down to the first drive. We have to stop them or score on them right off the bad to have a chance.

I'm arguing talent, which they have plenty of.

Whether they're a good team remains to be seen. I, for one, hope Les pisses away all his talent again this year. If we are in the game tomorrow, it's because we play really well and they don't.
