but I have no delusional thoughts of a Bulldog victory. We were competitive last year in BR even with Woody and Sly dragging us down. That may have had something to do with LSU playing down to the level of competition though. LSU could dress out the darned cheerleaders and run roughshod over the Dawgs in years past. I've just seen it too many times. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if LSU's young corndog QB looks like Joe Frackin' Montana against Mize State.

Corndogs - 23
Bulldogs - 13

but we've got a chance to keep it close. Hell, Croom only lost by 10 in Baton Rouge last year, and if Ducre had caught that pass who knows how that game turns out. I'm not going to predict a win, but I'd say Washington and Vandy at least gave us a pretty good blueprint on how to play with them. I (for the first time in a long time) feel like we have a coach who will put us in a position to have a chance at winning the game.

it would be easier to have more optimism if it was anyone but LSU. Even two years ago when we won 8 games and went to a bowl game they won in Starkville 45-0 (a game where Croom said that his team played well). The year we went to Atlanta we lost to a crappy LSU team 41-6. But we shall see.

MSU 2001 had a lot of talent.

Heck, Croom's Lance Long who couldn't make a first down made an NFL roster.
