PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers football will hold walk-on tryouts on Monday, Oct. 26 at 9 a.m. at the Hale Center. Informational packets will be available in the Hale Center lobby on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Packets are due by 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19.Each walk-on will need to meet the following guidelines for consideration at tryouts:- Walk-on packet completely filled out prior to tryout- Enrolled as a full-time student at Rutgers University – New Brunswick- Must have medical insurance- Must present proof of sickle cell test- Must present proof of physical that was completed within six months of Oct. 26, 2015- Must be within four years of any initial college enrollment* Additional information may be needed * For more information, please contact the Recruiting Department at 732-445-6200.

That's really odd. Normally walk-on tryouts take place very early, when the roster can be expanded beyond the 105-personal limit, following the 1st day of class

Would think you have walk on tryouts in the spring.
Not sure why you have it end of season,

I know a kid who tried to walk on at PSU this year. Tryouts were the week of our game.

Immanuel Lyke , Morris Plains NJ , Parsippany Hills 2009, Just spent 5 yrs in the marine corp and just joined penn state as a walk on this week as a DT

Pretty sure I can still fling the pigskin a good 50 yards on a rope. All while falling backwards after leaping in the air to avoid a sack.

I was a walk on. Most of us were back in 80. My "scholarship " was for golf. Partial.
