Wren's giving Bobby Cocks **** to work with and he's platooning at all the important positions. For the past 3 or 4 years left field and center have been a joke. Wren's brought in McLouth, Melky Cabrera, Ankiel, and Hinske along with Matt Diaz and Infante earlier in the season. That's 6 guys platooning 2 positions. Wren lucked out and got almost 2/3 of a season of decent production out of Glaus and then he brings in Derek Lee who has done absolutely nothing. And I won't even bring up the failed Jesse Chavez & Farnsworth experiments.
The Braves have built a solid pitching staff, but until Wren and the owners decide to stop being cheap asses and put a decent outfield out there, they aren't going to be able to hold off the firepower of the Phillies.
