OK Here Is The MAP off the EW vs NS Thread !

Some poor soul wants to come from Patrick Co. through Lawsonville and takes 2 rights to get to North Stokes High. No school that plays North Stokes comes even close to that route except Patrick Co. coming from Stuart out HWY 8 to 89 and takes a left on HWY 89 and 2 more lefts. He wants us to go 25 or so miles out of the way. Just follow Piney Grove Church Rd. past NS School road where he is coming in.
Notice on the map below NS is HWY 89 coming out of Mount Airy and as I said 2 lefts gets you to North Stokes High School.... He said to take a right on Piney Grove Church Rd. & a right on North Stokes Rd. WRONG unless coming from Patrick Co through Lawsonville....

I was 100% correct and the Patrick Co person needs to learn his way around NC.........
This will be my only post on this subject, so pull my chain all you want. I know there were many on here that had to know I was right but sided with someone that was from Patrick CO, Va. that wanted to come from 5 miles out of Stuart, Va. You can go that way but out of HWY 8, you would take 1 left off of HWY 8 and 2 lefts. No right turns to it. I spent 2 years driving a Kerns Bread Truck in 1982 and 1983 out 103 then HWY 8 to HWY 704 to Lawsonsville then Danbury back HWY 89 to Mount Airy delivering bread and buns to stores cafes. I did that until they pulled Kerns Bread out of Mount Airy. Several routes went to Virginia and the rest went to Kernersville. Oh, I also went to Walnut Cove for several cafes and South Stokes High then back to Danbury dropped bread at the Hospital. and worked my way back up HWY 89 to Mount Airy. Believe me, it was a long day but great pay.
I have probably been to North Stokes High times since I was 16 in 1966 around 50 plus times for football & basketball.

PS: that HWY coming through Lawsonville is another HWY 8 and a right on does take right turn Piney Grove Church Rd. & a Right on NS School road as he said but no school in the conference comes nowhere close to coming from that direct .30 plus miles out of the way. I just traced that down back to Lawsonville up through the Virginia state line.. That is right for him if he used to live in Patrick Co. But way wrong for all the NWC,,,,,
I had to give the guy credit for posting another way good for him but not the NWC.

Lot of work. But such an " I Told Ya So Mentality!" TD..it's ok to be right..It's also ok not to feel the need to be proven right all the time...no one is perfect..but you seem to always use tons of energy..just to say i told ya so to someone...whether it's going back to repost a score someone may have gotten wrong or issues like these directions..Sometimes it's ok not to always highlight someone's mistakes or flaws..because you certainly don't take it well when you get exposed for yours.

Whatever you do don’t go through Danbury because it’s not near there lol, I found that out the hard way two years ago. The Dan River restaurant was decent eating though.

Have y'all had enough fun now stomping me in the dirt and Deana, I am surprised at you a staff member acting like that. All I did was prove my point. He was saying go HWY 103 out of Mount Airy and take HWY 8 and then a right at the end of 8 which brings you back to Mount Airy. At no time did he say coming from Lawsonville. He after repeating that was the way he told me to Google it, so I did and posted it for him. Has he been seen since ? Anyone on here will prove they are right when confronted. I have seen arguments go on & on. And being called a drunk was way out of line and I have never put that person down at any time on here especially calling names. I was surprised when he lit into me with no reason when we both are Mount Airy Bear Fans and never put him down until he did. I guess the older you get, the deeper the cut & hurt. Good luck to all teams tomorrow night and Go Bears !
Say all you want, I will not reply. Don't tell me to Google something unless you want the truth and went down his rabbit hole and has not posted since that I have seen. I am just like the rest of you and don't like being made a fool of.

I for one wasn’t putting you down. Heck I didn’t even read most of the thread. I thought it was all in fun because North Stokes is difficult to get to.

Here we go again. Nobody running or hiding from you, Look dude. I NEVER said go to the end of route 8 , Turn right on Piney Grove Chruch rd and right on North stokes HS rd. School is on left. I been going that way since little league days and now my boy is a senior at MA and I still go that way when we have to go to North Stokes. Curves are not as bad as taking Hwy 89 out of MA. It’s not a big deal. You did your driving in the day. I still do mine! Truck driver for 17 years and damn good at it too.

The PS: was the way I was giving the whole time! I live in MA and will go that route every time if needed to go to north stokes and I live on 89. The older posters was complaining about the curves and crap. I was just giving a better route to take. Nothing to get butt hurt about, DANG

Your best bet is to take 103 from MA into VA to the end which is RT 8. Turn right, cross back into NC till you see that country store on the right just before the football field of Piney Grove, then take that right, go bout 2 miles hang a right. Ease on down the hill then BAM North stokes will be on the left. Quicker, faster, oh and less winding curves. Not as bad as y’all think it is. Might just be me since I’m from Patrick county and know all about it😂😂

I'm right, you're right, people from NC will get lost your way but to hell with it.
People from Pilot Mtn. goes HWY 268 turns right then 2 lefts. I thought people could read a map but guess not.... So you go your way and I'll go mine and everyone else can go theirs ! ! ! ! Over and done.
