After grunge in th 90s, it was over. Some love Creed etc. but it's been nonexistent. Too many suicides and crap.
I often say when talking about music that all my heroes are dead... Except for Eddie Vedder and Steve Grohl.

FooFighters might disagree.

Green Day, Killers, Linkin Park, and countless other rock bands have dominated charts and airwaves in the many decades since grunge.

What in the 17?

all effing trash, except FF....you think that **** can hold a candle to some of the greats from the 70's and 80's like ac/dc, GnR, Skynyrd, The Stones, CCR, The Eagles, Tom Petty, The Who, Metallica, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Queen, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Halen and the list goes on and on......

Flashes in the pan kid… flashes in the pan
Foo Fighters is a flash in the pan?
Green day is a flash in the pan?

You need to look up what that term means.
If you don't like em personally, cool thats fine, but flashes in the pan is an absurd comment to apply to them.

It's absurd to apply to The Killers and Linkin Park too, to be clear. A cursory look at the timeline of hits, number of hits, and discography span shows 'flash in the pan' isn't an applicable claim.

Goalpost shifting.
This isn't a competition and I wasnt claiming '97-'25 is a better period for rock music than '70-'90 or whenever.

A claim as made that after grunge, rock music was over. I disagreed and listed only a few of the many rock groups that have sustained success since grunge ended.

Once more- I was never claiming it's better than the period you cited, and this isn't a competiton.
No need to shift the goalposts.

OK, so the issue here is that you don't know what the term you have used even means.
That's unfortunate, since you even had an opportunity to look it up after I pointed out how you seemed to use it incorrectly the first time.

I’ll give ya Foo. Because of Grohl. Who was from what band I mentioned??
Why would it matter that Grohl was in Nirvana? That has nothing to do with the claim I initially disagreed with or any oft he follow up posts and responses.

Cool man, you named a band that had a musician that is now in a band I named.
Go you for doing that!**
