to start baseball season. 18 of these are at home.

What does our record need to be going into the Vanderbilt series for you to consider this stretch of our schedule a "success".

I say 17-3 or 18-2. 16-4 or 15-5is....meh. Anything less is just bad.

15-5 should be the floor. We play no one in these first 20 games. You have to think SEC talent, albeit young and inexperienced SEC talent, can win at least win 15 of these first 20.

"it is baseball", but I don't see any reason why we aren't 18-2 after the first 20.
I really don't expect them to lose 2, but might slip one to Iowa or UAB

Cupcake City!
unlike the dumpster fire that is our basketball program, our SEC baseball slate is beyond tough enough to get us into a regional. If we can perform. That said I see us in the range of 17-3 to 13-7, and neither would surprise me. We just don't have ANY power in the line up and our pitchers are simply mediocre sans Stratton.

Our toughest games are Lamar- that's why we're using Stratton tommorrow- and the UAB game worries me a little bit because it's our first road game, Polk will want revenge, the fact that UAB is a decent team, and where it falls on the schedule- after a four game weekend and then the day after a game with Valley- we'll be going with our fifth starter at best.
