The plan was a three man front and it adds personnel to the backfield to attempt to contain.

If we go to a four man front, we possibly take away the running lanes through to middle and increase the pass rush, but then all they have to do is keep Manziel in the shotgun and break around the corners with misdirection. Plus he was 30 for 36 with receivers running free with a three man front.

Blitz more? Unless you had two coming free from each side, Manzeil would have left them tripping on their own feet. As evidenced by when skinner and Lawrence got close to him.
