200+ rushing. +10 on pts off turnovers.

We'll be in good shape with that...

play a nearly perfect game defensively, create to's and score td's off them, run the ball effectively with no to's. Get pressure on mett, stop the run most of the time, keep the ball and grind it.

To do the above we need to hit a few downfield balls, and/or keep them honest on defense.

Bulldogs win if

Scenario 1.) We score more points than LSU
Scenario 2.) I sacrifice 2 lambs, 1 chicken, and pray to Zeus for divine intervention with the mortals.

We don't do the things that normally beat us, i.e. 1. Jameon doesn't muff a

punt or two and give them a short field. 2. Whoever the QB is hits the wide open receiver that we seem to miss once every game. 2a. Said receiver actually holds onto previously mentioned wide open reception. 3. We score more TD's than field goals. 3a. Devon Bell hits the field goals from 30-39 yds when attempted 4. We actually try to score on our last possession of the half instead of letting 2-3 minutes tick off while we run insignificant plays up the middle as if protecting a 28 pnt lead. 5. We don't have to play "prevent" defense @ any point

LSU doesn't show up

But here's how I see it playing out. Met is going to pick us apart, we won't generate pressure, they score at least 28, we won't run the ball effectively and Russell throws at least 1 int. I have no reason to believe otherwise from watching our previous 7 or so games against good competition. That's not counting auburn because auburn is not good.

We get to Met early, and he reverts to last year's form. Georgia was the first team this year that won the battle of the sacks. Blitz often if we have to, but rattle him early.

additions to quote will be zero turnovers (we always seem to give LSU like 5 picks or fumbles, when was the last time we didn't turn over the ball to LSU?), and dak attack THROUGHOUT ENTIRE game. If Mullen starts Russell first 3 or 4 possessions, we're 2-3.

6. keep the playbook open in the 2nd and 3rd qtrs (without the customary trick play @ the 35).

Disagree on both accounts. 1. 2-3 if Dak goes the entire game. 2. 3 or 4 possessions is the end of the first quarter. Dak was down 10-0 @ AU about that same time.

Yeah and then our RBs combine for about another 100yds and that puts us at 425yds of offense which is probably what it will take to win at a minimum.

We have to get pressure which I think we can. Chris Jones could have his coming out party. First chance he's gotten to really show himself to a national audience. It'll be interesting.

If you're killing a chicken, you ought to pray to this guy...

The Lord shall see to it.

Dak is going to have to account for 350+ total yards for us to have a shot. That means the receivers are going to have to make catches and run correct routes, SOMEONE is going to have to have to pick up the blitzes out of the backfield and/or lead through the gaps, and the line is going to give him time in the pocket. At the end of the night Dak's stats will be telling of all these things.

Not that worried about defense, which could be what kills us. Burger has been pretty solid this year. I just have a feeling they have things shored up and that McKinney will have a solid game.

Bulldogs win if hell freezes over.Dont take this wrong I love the dogs, but it will take a modern day miracle for state to pull this one off.We simply don't have enough talent to stay with lsu for 4 quarters.

If the TEAM plays with relentless effort.

Regardless of who starts at QB, and whether or not another comes in.

It will take a total team effort.
It's not who's the QB solely, it's the other 10 guys on the field playing offense, whomever is playing defense, and the specials.

TEAM.

(I hope it doesn't rain, I neglected to pack my slicker.)

Does "kicking game" include field goals? If so, we may not have a chance. We do OK on kickoffs and punts, but kinda suck at field goals.

Let's hope we do lotsa kickoffs.
