Don't know him personally, but he comes from a good family. His dad taught at my high school and I have a lot of respect for him.

I don't know if you could duplicate Duke's system at many other schools. Johnny Dawkins was the #1 assistant until taking the Stanford job, and that has not worked out, but he probably needs more time.

Greg Marshall will go to South Carolina, Chris Collins will go to Illinois, and Shaka Smart will get a major raise and stay at VCU.
I would give Greg Gard an interview. Here is his record as an assistant all under Bo Ryan. Wisconsin has made NCAA Tourney 11 consecutive years and made field of 32 ten out of those eleven years.

MTSU fans want him fired. Most MTSU alumni, including myself, have wanted him fired for years. He would have been fired a few years ago, but MTSU didn't have the buyout money.<div>
</div><div>He has a 57% winning percentage at MTSU; ~52-53% not counting DII and NAIA schools.</div><div>
</div><div>He has ZERO NCAA appearances. He has twice lost to the lowest rated team #344 in DI basketball.</div><div>
</div><div>He had the Sun Belt POY fall in his lap this year via transfer and managed to choke away the best MTSU season in 2 decades & a NCAA bid by losing to the 13-19 WKU and 14-20 Arkansas State to finish the season.</div><div>

</div><div>He is a less successful version of Stansbury. He is apparently a nice guy, but he got lucky as hell to get Dendy this year and once he is gone next year, I fully expect another 17-14 season. He should have been fired 4 years ago.</div>
