I think so. Clemson could very well lose to UNC as well. Also, Florida could lose to FSU. If that's the case then only Alabama and Michigan St. are in and 2 spots are basically up for grabs

who's in?

is there a scenario where a one loss Iowa still backs in?

If the others win out
, then you would have:

one team that went undefeated and won it's CCG
1. Clemson 13-0

two 1-loss teams that won their CCG...
2. Alabama 12-1
3. Michigan St 12-1

one 1-loss team that won their conference, but didn't have a CCG to play in ...
4. Oklahoma St 11-1

one 1-loss team that lost in its CCG...
5. Iowa 12-1

and one 1-loss team that didn't win their conference or play in the CCG.
6. Ohio St 11-1

In THAT scenario, I could see Oklahoma state jumping Iowa and Ohio St to claim the 4th seed... unless you want to argue strength of schedule... but that would be a huge jump for the CFP committee (11th to 4th)... so not as likely... chaos it is!

I think so. Clemson could very well lose to UNC as well. Also, Florida could lose to FSU. If that's the case then only Alabama and Michigan St. are in and 2 spots are basically up for grabs

If both of those chaotic scenarios happen, then you would have:

Three 1-loss teams that won their CCG...
1. Alabama 12-1
2. Michigan St 12-1
3. North Carolina 12-1

one 1-loss team that won their conference, but didn't have a CCG to play in ...
4. Oklahoma St 11-1

two 1-loss teams that lost in their CCG...
5. Clemson 12-1
6. Iowa 12-1

and one 1-loss team that didn't win their conference or play in the CCG.
7. Ohio St 11-1

In THAT scenario, Niko is correct about Alabama and Michigan St... and you have chaos as the CFP Committee picks the best teams and some teams are left out... just like Baylor and TCU last year.
