Io_a. That's too bad.... He looked like a great prospect that would have been a great addition for Coach Cav. Wish him the best.

One would think we have bigger fish to fry. I didn't even recognize the name.

Iowa kid commits to Iowa. Not exactly a big recruiting loss when you're battling against the in-state team.

Not a single 4* Iowa high school recruit this year. No wonder we look outside the 500 mile area for the big fish.

This fish is 6' 6" and very mobile will play well over 300lbs and the kid has a mean streak according to his coach. Sounds like Robert Gallery. Kirk has loaded up on the beef the last 2 recruiting seasons with 27 players at least 6'4" with most in the 6'5" to 6'6" range. The Legacy is the #1 ranked player in Ill and the country at strongside DE according to rivals . His dad played DL for Hayden Fry. He is 6'5" 255 and very agile, quick off the ball . Everybody looks good on paper so time will tell. The kid is of Samoan heritage and they have some big people in the gene pool.

I guess that makes us equal. Haven't heard of the guy, and I'm here a couple times a week. I know I've never seen him on our front page.
I believe Reilly had him in for a visit but this kid is from Bettendorf in the Quad Cities far eastern Iowa about an hour from Ia City. Husker fans are very few in that part of Iowa + Kirk doesn't lose too many in state lineman.

If he wasn't our top OT recruit he was close to it. A loss for us and a great pickup for IA.

Well we better quit playing now. He'll probably win 6 national championships in his 4 years. He obviously won't redshirt.

My prediction is in the next 6 years or 10 years or 20 years we will both win the same number of national titles- 0.

This is true

Not sure why Iowa fans are supposed to blindly accept your claimed National Titles but you cant. Both sides could disagree with them but why?

Nebraska doesn't claim more thAn 5 which are all legitimate. If we claimed like Bama I could see an argument. Denying the 5 is pure envy.

I don't deny them at all as long as we use the mythical moniker when discussing the old system. I see the 5 you have as legitimate, likewise I only think Iowa has 1 legitimate one.

Your are most certainly entitled to your opinion, but the facts are....

LSU finished the 1958 season 11-0, ranked #1 in both AP and Coaches poll

Iowa finished the 1958 season 8-1-1, ranked #2 in both AP and Coaches poll.

It's not hard to understand why majority of the college football world will not take your claimed national title seriously.

True but Iowa played integrated teams while LSU only played white teams. Also, AP and coaches voted before the bowl games.

As a Hawkeye fan it would be awesome to have the history nebraska has, but it will never happen. Nebraska can make fun of the ending the hawkeyes had, but would have taken a 12-0 regular season. Nebraska and iowa are extremely similar now but nobody wants to admit that or give in to saying they like or admire something from the other.

Iowa was undefeated in 1921 and 1922 and has a claim to the 1921 title as well, should that not count since all they did was not lose for 2 years straight?
