Old EASTERN 1A Schools and Conferences Questions

Like to have some help clearing up a few questions friends and I were pondering last evening. What were the conference names and conference members of the following defunct 1A schools out east: Nikina, Acme-Delco, Orrum, Magnolia, Littlefield, Clarkston, Hallsboro, Williamston, Roanoke, Bear Grass., and others?? Visited several back in the 80s and 90s, but can't recall who fit where. Sure do miss those small school Friday nights though. Any help is appreciated filling in the blanks.

Clarkton was in the Southern 8 in 1986.

Littlefield was in Lumber River in 1987.

If any of these teams made the playoffs you should be able to find out by viewing the playoff brackets on the NCHSAA page. I have the playoff brackets from the years Murphy won state championships and that is where I found the two I posted.

Martin County schools consolated about 10 years ago. Williamston and Jamesville combined to form Riverside (same site as Williamston), Bear Grass and Roanoke combined to form South Creek (same site as Roanoke). These schools all seem to be dropping in enrollment as well. After being closed for 3-4 years a group reopened Bear Grass as a charter school. This has affected South Creek in a major way.
