Great news..

"Sellers said the $25,000 reward offered by the university’s alumni association has been instrumental in bringing quick results in the investigation, generating numerous leads."

YES!!! Now if they could just think of a strategy to uncover who almost beat those two boys to death..

So just for the record, it was three Ole Miss students.

Can't get in Georgia or Georgia Tech, same with the Texas kids. Just so much

room at those universities and Ole Miss actively recruits those kids. As you would expect 99% of them are good citizens and good students.

Hell, let's setup a donation thread on all the MSU and OM boards and get 100K

out there for information on clearing up "he said she said" on the beating. Sounds worthwhile if the the Ole Miss administration isn't going to do it.

Getting off topic, I wonder how much MSU has emphasized recruiting out-of-state students and if there are plans on increasing efforts if the community college tuition bill passes the Senate and is signed by the Governor...

I don't know the facts but it appears Ole Miss is more aggressive with out of

state recruitment than we are and I really don't know the reasons. Ole Miss generally offers more scholarship money to good instate students than we do but we have certainly closed that gap to almost zero recently I think. At least that was the case with my daughter this year, they offered about the same.

How about a 25k reward to identify the guys who beat Baird? When the perps are identified and handled appropriately, he drops suit? Sounds like a good idea...

What is students from Jorja's obsession with TSUN?

I think some people that still are nut job racists come to Ole Miss because they delusionally think that some of the OM symbols represent racism. Or at least those symbols still represent racism in their minds, so that's why they want to come to OM

Since they're OM students, it's not like they're trying to make OM look bad to troll

For the legal types. What would the actual charge be since there was no physical damage to the statue?

Bet it won't take them long to distribute $25,000 to somebody, they're experts in dispersing $$ to anonymous recipients

I bet the Kimdeechee brothers were the ones who turned them in. Miraculously, 25k is exactly how much their lawyer needed to represent them.

No legal type but I would guess racially motivated intimidation. Sure they can come up with something stronger.

I had to do a google search to find out who in the crap Blanton was in the CL article. He is the DIrector of Communications for OM. In the article he was quoted as saying the following: “What we want to do is to show this type action can’t take place on this campus. We want to demonstrate that we will not tolerate this type behavior.” So they do tolerate the behavior of some person or persons attacking and beating up two of their own non-athlete students, with one knocked unconscious, at one of their frat houses? Let me make this plain, I 17'ing hate Ole Miss. It is nothing but a school for red necks who think they become classy by going there and a school for out of state students who think it is a cool.
