I believe they could easily be a top 25. The get everyone back except Cranston, who really sucked. And they also gain the Indiana transfer this season.

We may get into the tourney we may not, but AK's offense makes Stans' offense look like well oiled machine.

so on paper yes we should be Top 25.

We're essentially what you were this pre-season, a team that was an NCAA bubble team the previous year and returned everyone from that bubble team just about, which usually means you'll see some big improvement.

For us, I expect us to lose at least 1 or 2 key players to transfer/Europe/wherever, so I don't think we'll still be pre-season Top 25 by the time the season rolls around.

And if we do by some off chance return every key player, I still think we'll find a way to choke on it, like you did this year. We still aren't well-coached, and we'll still be relying solely on talent to try to win games. We'll spend next year still getting lost on defense and still taking ill-advised shots for much of every game, and we'll find ourselves squarely on the bubble again come tourney time.

I mean seriously, last year it was the injuries. Once they get those guys back they'll be in the tournament. Then some dude transfers. Now it's happening again.

If this year wasn't their year I don't see them ever getting it done. Beat Kansas State and UTEP, have West Virginia on the ropes. Then just completely suck up SEC play. Not hating on them, I just think this year was their year to really make some noise.

On paper, next year would be a better year, but if we were going to make noise next year, I think we'd have made more this year. This year was the year as a fan I would've liked to see us get in the tourney as an 8 seed or so to get our tourney cherry popped for this team. Then the next year when you return everyone (assuming like a normal team we actually would return everyone) we could make a run to be in the top of the SEC and get a 4 seed or something like that to have a shot at making a real tourney run.

But like I said, none of that will happen. We'll be on the bubble even if we return everyone. Maybe we'll venture as high as a 7 or 8 and have a shot to win 1 game before bowing out, but that's about the best I would expect.
