Louisiana disagrees.esplanade91 said:I would also like to make the point that Ole Miss goes out of the state a lot. Mullen very rarely recruits anywhere outside of Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. If Keonning (former Texas A&M QB) decided to recruit some sought after guys from Texas I'm sure we'd snag some, but we'd have to dedicate time we use evaluating and recruiting guys close by to travel, meet with them, bond with their high school coaches that we have zero connection with, etc. We could get 4 stars from some random state too, but it doesn't seem worth it if we have to give up time and effort on the home front. It was great watching you defend Quay Evans when Yancy started spreading ****.rebels said:No one could ever possibly want to come to Ole Miss without being paid and/or being a thug. Have you learned nothing on Sixpack? Orgeron proved that really good players will come to Ole Miss. Freeze is doing the exact same thing. Let's just hope he can coach better than O.
Okay, you will "compete" with them but forever be behind them in line in the West heirarchy, and end each season saying "Welp, yeah we lost some games, but it was only to really GOOD teams like Bama."But by recruiting gems Alabama doesn't have to recruit because they only get 4 stars we can compete with them. I want Freeze to bring Ole Miss up to a respectable level, but I think he's got the wrong philosophy.
