is up to 66 on Real Time and 61 on Warren Nolan. A win on Saturday should provide us a nice bounce.

Actually, and this is weird, but I don't think you'll receive too big of a boost for beating us. Reason being, 25% of any boost you get will be the same as with any team you beat. 50% of your boost will come from our 11-9 record (hardly noteworthy), and the other 25% of your boost will come from our opponents' record, which is probably the biggest component of our standing in the RPI.

I've noticed with RPI that the biggest thing that helps you is playing a team that has a good record. Our record is nothing to write home about. You'd be better off if we were a decent RPI team because of a good winning percentage but a poor schedule.

What you can get is a win over a Top 100 team, assuming we actually find a way to stay in the Top 100 for the rest of the year.

the kentucky win had to help a decent amount though, and at least is a boost for the west side of life

My point was that with the way RPI calculates, us beating UK helps you because it will eventually count as 2 wins on your opponents' winning percentage and only one loss.

The main thing with playing teams with decent RPIs is the whole record vs. Top 100, record vs. Top 50, etc. That doesn't factor into your own RPI, but it gives another stat for the committee to look at. They like to see that you've played and beaten teams with good RPIs.

The RPI calculation itself gets most of its boost from the actual winning percentage of the teams you play, which in our case (11-9) doesn't help a whole lot.
