Actually passed it to soon. Said you can't start handing it off until past the yellow line but we were starting to before it, but we didn't finish handing it off until after it. I guess it doesn't matter. At least that is what I understood of the rule.

USA women's hoops up 30 pts with last quarter to go. Stick a fork in Spain and give us the Gold! Others aren't even on same level. That's how mens hoops should be.

After watching the women get the gold, I was wondering if the coaches get a medal as well. While looking it up I came across this picture.

I forgot all about this picture. I just find it funny that Tayshaun was the only one not letting Coach K wear his medal. I'm sure it was a spur of the moment thing that he was late getting to, but I prefer to think of it as him not wanting that dirty Dukie touching his medal. [laughing]

I am convinced Tom Hammond and the rest of the track and field commentators have never seen a tattoo before.

OHMUHGAWD, HAVE YOU GUIZE SEEN MATT CENTRIFUGE'S TAH-TEW? LIKE FATHER LIKE SON. ON HIZ CHEST. HIZ DADDY DONT LIKE IT THOUGH.

And then later when talking about the other American in the 1500, the dude talking about him just throws out that he has tattoos, including the state of Mimnesota on his thigh.

With 111 medals the U.S. has now topped all previous Olympics except the Boycott games in LA in 1984 and the strange 1904 St Louis games that almost no countries participated in.

So, you could say this is the most productive normal Olympics, and best 'road games' performance.
I partied my *** off in England, back in '84, while that **** was going down.

Go USA!

Tremendous showing by the USA! Only 4 potential medal events left, Men's basketball (gold/silver), Men's volleyball (bronze) and outside shots at the marathon (slim) and mountain bike (unlikely). They'll probably just miss their gold medal haul from London 4 years ago but MAN their overall medal count is amazing! Plus they'll win by a wide margin in both total medals and gold medals. Well done!

I say make it interesting and empty the goals and take the shoot outs from the full length of the field. Whoever makes the most out of 3 shots a piece wins or the first to make it if no shots are made in the first 3 attempts. That or put 2 goalies in to make it harder to score.

Or....keep playing until someone scores.

I find it extremely difficult to like anything about the sport. Starting with the multiple episodes of grown men throwing themselves to the ground and (fake) crying like little girls after every contact. Also the low scores and high possibility of a draw, about 30% of the time. And then settling the draw with a skills competition. Just keep playing until someone scores. Legs will eventually get tired and someone WILL score a goal to win it.
