Is this a situation where he committed to us because he wants to play SEC football, but if Ole Miss ever offers (and they still have, what, 5 months?), then he'll commit to them on the spot? Sort of like Keith Holcombe? Seems I read his family were big Rebel boosters.

I don't think it's a forgone conclusion, but we'd be in a fight if they offered. I think our facilities made a big impact on him and his family over the summer.

Yep, claimed on there that he would be totally shutting down his recruitment now that he's committed to MSU. Certainly things can change as he did grow up with OM loyalties but I don't see this as a prospect that OM would invest much time in trying to flip at this point. The guy has potential but he is certainly no Chris Jones.

I realize your saying that OM only goes for players that are ranked and have stars by their names, (I'm pretty sure you can say that about a bunch of schools) but you do realize that there is a reason why this guy is unranked and has no stars, don't you? Please list his other SEC offers...I'll wait here. I mean I hear it all the time that stars and rankings are crap, it's the offers that count. Well let's hear 'em.
