Your directions are coming from Patrick County and will take you to South Stokes. A portion of HWY 89 is also HWY-8 from turning left at the bridge up through Danbury, then about 4 miles the other side of Danbury is the Country Store and it has a Cafe in it also, you hang a right beside then another right and South Stokes is on the left, and HWY 8 takes you to Winston Salem. I traveled those roads in the 1980s about every week for 8 years. If going to South Stokes from Mount Airy I would ho HWY 52 to the exit that goes to RJ Moore, take a left go back across the bridge, and cross old HWY 52 where the old King Drive-In used to be then maybe 5 miles you cross HWY 66 and maybe 6 more miles there is an old Service Station on the right, hang a right there and South Stokes is maybe 3 or 4 miles on the right. I used to know the name of all those roads but it,s been too many moons since I traveled them. If coming from Winston, HWY 8 toward Germanton Rd. or HWY 66 off old HWY 52 is probably the way I would go depending on what part of Winston I was coming from to going to S or N Stokes. Now let's just keep the game at East Wilkes.

i know right...!!!! They will lose if they dont catch or tackle no better than they did against Starmount. EW qb put the deep ball on the money several times all year...just to see the receivers drop it! ...and how many game decision penalties such as roughing the kicker on 3rd down..are the Cardinals gonna make..It all starts with discipline and realizing whats at stake every down...especially 3rd down...They lost to Elkin as well due to aggregious penalties at inopportune game changing times!!

Best Defense...but such a WACK CONFERENCE. Atleast East Surry had Mt.Airy in 2019. Mt.Airy had no one this year. It doesn't diminish how good Mt.Airy is..but the NWC is awful...hopefully Mt.Airy can parallel Reidsville of now and Albemarle of the 90s that played in weak conferences but still won state titles.
Talking about the NWC this year, how about the team's Mount Airy played in 2008. Look familiar ? Take notice to the scores in 2008. Pretty much looking like this ear so far.

Yep. Good Lord when I saw the likes of chatham central etc in the playoffs. There is no way in hell they were beating Thomasville. I remember they were loaded and destroyed a helluva East Bladen team at NC State.
This game is a toss up unless Graham plays, EW is missing big pieces everywhere. Coaches ego still remains bigger than the team. He still thinks he is at Mount Airy!!!
You must not have watched the Starmount film!!! If Graham plays big it will be a blowout, if he does not it could be a beat down you do not expect.
EW will be fine this week. I saw EW against Starmount. I also saw EW against Surry Central with Graham.
They both played one common team each to compare them by, East Wilkes. Mount Airy in the regular season, beating EW 57-0 and Thomasville in the playoffs winning 41-7. That has to speak some for my opinion MA winning the 1AA.

Comparing one game to say "we could have beat them" is a joke. Especially when both teams beat beat the opponent by 35+ points. Who is to say that Thomasville didn't pull starters after the first quarter, had players out, or rested some of their starters? What if EW had players out against MA? Now if Thomasville only beat them 21-7, then I would say they edge goes to MA, but when the scores are 41-7 and 57-0, you cannot go by that at all.

And MA scrimmaged Newton there in 2008. I sit on Newton side and they said either MA is that good or we are that bad. As we know Newton won 2A state that year. It was live game situation scrimmage and MA would won like 35-7 MA was that good.
North Stokes is playing at East Wilkes. Give directions to EW and tell people to use the upper driveway closest to Elkin to enter. Good little walk to ball field and visitor bleachers are small.

East Wilkes has a cool little stadium. Mitchell was there, if I’m remembering correctly, in 2015 for a 3rd third round game. Great atmosphere people were standing everywhere
