what a great game. I had to miss this one but watched it live and then replay right after. Great game, team was up tempo from word go and smacked ksu in the mouth early and often. ksu team later would say they had no idea Rutgers was that good, that strong or that quick.

pure awesomeness

It was a lot fun to be there because I don’t think the KSU fans knew how good that RU team was and they left in shock. There were a lot of them there too. Also, the last few games of that season we started seeing just how good guys like Kenny Britt and Tim Brown were going to be.

Agree completely. I remember chatting with some of their fans before and after the game and they had no idea how good RU was that year - such a sweet win. Still just a bad call/dropped pass away from making a BCS bowl in a BE that was the 2nd best conference that year, iirc.

I remember returning from the game and at the airport with KS fans- I was talking about how much Rutgers was screwed by the bowl selection. And they countered that they were screwed even more- no way did they really expect to be playing a team that was good enough to be a top 5-10 team that year.

The benefits of a few weeks of practice too (Im hoping we see some improvement on Thursday same reason). Brown looked noticeably more dangerous/involved. The offense really looked dynamic carrying over from the WVU game.

Man that team was stacked
And those uniforms... the best we've ever had

I noticed the larger numbers watching Insight Bowl game video. I liked those better than the following versions. Michigan and OSU still have large numbers

I was surprised Brent Musburger was doing the game

I agree that team deserved a better bowl game. We got hosed going back to the Slaton non-fumble and Bines return.
And Rice get mugged in the Endzone on the pass in OT.
Of course earlier a dropped TD pass by our WR was the killer.
