and their terrible football team actually worries me in this sense. I'm afriad udub fans will turn out in droves for the basketball game for that very reason. They have a reason to be excited. I'm afraid this will be a road game in every sense of the word. I was holding out hope that maybe just a few thousand of them would show up, but I think it will be packed to the rafters with huskies.
In 2000, they went 11-1, won the Pac-10, won the Rose Bowl, and they had a legit argument to be considered for the BCS title game after beating Miami who beat FSU who actually got the BCS bid to play against OU.
In 2008, they go 0-12. That's got to be rough. Nebraska's program fell from grace, but it wasn't nearly as far. To go literally from right at the top to at the very bottom in less than a decade is hard to do.
