One of absolute worst calls of year against TCU....

white cap called a personal foul roughing the punter penalty when it looked as though the TCU player slipped and went slightly past the punter and perhaps reached up and MAYBE barely touched the back of his leg while he was lying on the ground. The La Tech punter was shown laughing about it on the sideline after it happened.

I think one of the ways the rule is structured is that it also allows for where you hit the punter and not just how you hit them. If you happen to run into their kicking leg then that's just running into them. If you happen to run into their plant leg hard enough to make them fall (doesn't have to be a violent hit) then it's considered roughing. I may be wrong on this, but if that's how the rule is setup then it was the right call.

once you see it you will agree. My description is probably a poor one. Bottom line to all is it really means nothing in a nothing game. I just thought it was terrible judgement on the white cap's part.
