Boise was blowing them up with 4 guys. Too bad Boise wasn't heads up enough to put a safety over treadwell late in the game.

Also OM has ZERO running game.

They have got some good receivers but I agree their OL and their running game

could be problematic. Their defense really hit well at times but I was surprised their DL wasn't better against the run. I think Boise had a chance if they would have shortened the game and run the ball more but they insisted on getting themselves in trouble trying to throw it which played into the strength of the Ole Miss defense which is pass rush and their safeties.

We also learned that Treadwell will catch it if you just throw it high as hell. He doesn't need to even run quality routes. Just go downfield and chunk it. I think he will save Bo's *** a lot this season.

Works great when they are playing against Mountain West defenses with 5'9 cornerbacks in man coverage. I am seeing Wallace throwing about 20 ints this season.

The 2nd half Boise had decided Bo wasn't going to hurt them and began loading the box, so they had to go man-to-man. That's why the passing was so easy in the 2nd half. Bo's timing was off the first half. He was late on several throws, even completions. Aaron Morris is going to hate going over this film. Matt Luke turned our 2012 line into a functional unit which was less talented than our guys now so there's some hope.

Not sure if anyone else saw Vandy last night, but at least we have a couple of weeks to figure something out.

I was going to make the same point. The kid covering Quon last night is listed at 5'9 152 on the BSU website.

One other think I noticed last night is that Bo seemed to get hit a lot...

The OL is real bad...soft and poorly coached. If they dont get that fixed, they are going to have problems.

It was his 'timing' that was off??? He looked like every other season of Bo Wallace. When does it just become that Bo Wallace might actually suck rather than it is his sore shoulder or his timing or his lack of leadership?

One more question. Since it is a rule that you cannot remove your headgear on the field, why does beautiful Bo not get a flag every time he takes his helmet off to throw back his gorgeous hair?

Treadwell and Nkemdiche cover up a lot of flaws. Their schedule isn't very tough so they'll probably win 8, maybe 9 games.

But even if we're only as good as we were last season, based on last night I definitely think we can beat them and it wouldn't be an upset. But that game is a very long ways away.

A QB's timing being off contributes sucking so I don't understand why you would differentiate. Last night he made the right read on two of his interceptions but he hesitated and missed his window. Saying his timing is off isn't redirecting blame. That's on him.

The only duck I really remember was when Boise went offsides once and he just threw it up to Vince in the end zone. I'll have to rewatch later. Maybe I missed a few spots.

Yes, outside of TSUN, we call that 'Bo being Bo'. We just haven't witnessed the magical Bo that everyone spoke of going into this season that was going to be the best QB in the SEC. you say his timing is off, I say again, that looks like every other time I have seen him. Bad decisions, weak arm, gorgeous hair. That's BO!!!

You're right. Its not 'ducks' he throws. They are spirals, just not nearly

as much velocity as a normal SEC QB. When does TSUN plan to get a QB that can throw it more than 20 yards without having to dislocate his shoulder to generate enough power?

That, to me, is why you won't win as many games this year as everyone thinks. SEC teams can load up the box and still get back in time to cover his throws down the field. That is why we won the Egg Bowl. He couldn't throw us out of the box.

I agree. Last year it got so bad that we wouldn't even attempt it downfield. He's not going to throw rockets, he has a good arm but not a great one. I thought his first TD to Core was perfectly thrown. I don't think his velocity was an issue last night. His 2nd half was awesome, especially considering he had no run support and the O-line wasn't protecting particularly well (albeit better). But that's Bo. He has about 2-3 pitiful games a year, 2-3 average ones, and 2-3 good ones.

Other things to take into consideration for our poor first half performance is that it seemed every 2nd down, we were behind the chains. I believe there were 7 false start penalties in the first half? Not going to have a lot of success when you're constantly 1st and 15 or 2nd and 15. We went to a silent snap count for the 2nd half and were much better. Nice adjustment, but our initial gameplan is going to have to be better. Luckily we have 2 cupcakes, a decent opponent, and a Bye before Bama.

8-9 games huh?

So the team we saw last night will beat

Alabama
Auburn
LSU
Tennessee
MSU

Arkansas may be a challenge on the road after what I saw last night. Ole Miss' ceiling is 8-4 IMO with 7-5 very possible.

They will beat Tennessee at home and can beat us. That's not ridiculous to suggest.

I wasn't impressed last night either, but they aren't just unathletic guys with no talent. They have some skill and can beat decent teams if they play well.

I don't know what to tell you. If that's all you think he is, then carry on and bet the house on everyone we play in the West. Let me know how you do.

The problem is they have little to no depth and no discipline. And I'm sorry, that guy is a terrible play caller.

By the time November rolls around, attrition will have taken its toll. Always does in this league.
