Your head coach leaves the field because the opposing fans are taunting him?????? But the players have to stay out there?
Wow....I mean wow.
So let me get this straight....Polk is weak enough that a bunch of teen agers can run him off his job by saying mean things to him, but still strong enough to essentially tell MSU athletics "I do whatever I like, even if that means leaving the field because someone hurt my feelings...and you will like it, because I am Ron Polk"
So does this mean Rowdy USM FANS(what there are of them)>Ron Polk>MSU Athletics
or in other words
USM FANS(what there are of them)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>MSU Athletics
Now I am depressed more about MSU baseball, and I didnt think that was possible.

Polk did a lot to help Hill Denson get the USM program off the ground back in the '80s. He figured it would help baseball statewide. Hill ripped off the LFL (the right field roost) with Polk's blessing. Hill ran all regionals held in Starkville for years for Polk. He's always been willing to come to Hattiesburg with his team. He and Corky aren't as close as he and Hill (remember, Hill found out about Polk's first retirement and announced his own retirement one day before, saying "at least I can beat him at something".) I guess he feels some connection to the USM program.
