Here in Memphis the lucky ones get a drink, sack lunch, and a 1 way ticket to Nashville. The unlucky ones get to ride in a squad car out to the middle of no where and kicked out on the side of the road.

Whoever is issuing those one way tickets and free rides to the middle of nowhere are doing a terrible job.

I'm pretty sure other cities are sending them here on those one way tickets.

It's an on going battle between Memphis and Nashville sending the homeless back and forth.

(Years of watching football in person have given me the innate ability of knowing just when to get up and not miss any plays. I missed one meaningless play.) While walking up the aisle I first spotted "The Old Saints Dude". He was sitting on the aisle about half way up the stands. (He may have moved down from cheaper seats, I just don't know.) He moved down closer to the field early in the 4th Quarter. I was in the next section over a little higher than he was when the TV cameras were on him, maybe 15-20 feet away.

Why did he look wet? I don't know, my guess would be that he had a little too much to drink and probably went to the bathroom and splashed some water on his face to freshen up and got his hair wet. Been there, done that!

How did he look in person? A little rough around the edges. Sorta like that old scruffy Uncle or Cousin just about everybody has in their family. From what I could tell he went to the game by himself, but I could not say for sure. He sure made friends quick if he did. His Saints gear looked like it had been in his closet in a cardboard box for the last 30 years, but he was all smiles.

The lady/girl Saints fan he had up on his shoulders (wish I had brought a camera) was also feeling no pain. Would be a riot if somebody had that footage! I was kinda proud of "The Old Saints Dude" holding the girl up oh his neck when he did it. I was half expecting him to spin her around and go face to #^$$ with her. He had that "superhuman" strength that one gets with alcohol, if you know what I mean.

When the Saints made their comeback he was all smiles and was whooping it up with the rest of us.

Here begins the legend of "The Old Saints Dude".

Long live - "The Old Saints Dude".
