Haven't been to Natchez in years but Fat Mama's has the best I have ever eaten (though to be honest I haven't eaten that many except for at Fat Mama's). Though I generally have them with about 4-5 Margaritas so they could be terrible and I just never remember.

He makes them out of his house and lives in a neighborhood just past the mall as you come into Greenville from the south on Hwy 1. They taste better than Does, are wrapped better and are $7 a dozen.

I concur with Fat Mama's in Natchez....best in Mississippi. Note: there are better ones to had in Texas....

To enhance tamales....unwrap two dozentamales and place in a baking dish, cover with chili (preferably a spicy kind), cover with cheese, and bake covered at 350, then uncover and bake another 15 minutes. Not gourmet food, but good deer camp dish.

Might be before some of you were born... Everyone said they were made with cats and dog..

Solly's in Vburg and the Tony's in Jackson. Take your ground deer meat and to Tomy's and he will hook you up.

and The Tamale Place on the I-20 service road. There was a family fallout and both claim to have the original recipe. I've had both and they're both very good.

They had one of the best burgers you'll ever eat. Hated to see them go. They seemed like good people. At least we've got Congress St. Grill now.
