And a 2nd question - name another athlete that has had a worse fall from grace than Tiger. One example on the show was Tyson.

There have been bigger falls from grace (Tyson, OJ, etc.), but Tiger's fall has by far been the steepest. Even with OJ people wanted to believe he was innocent at first and Tyson's fall was a slow motion train wreck.

that Tiger's is happening during his playing career. He just is sucking ever since the wreck. OJ was post career.

LT "doesn't card them" and "doesn't ask for their birth certificate."

He also really liked him some crack cocaine...

Most people would have said he was a good role model. A week later, the Tiger jokes were flying and his name was synonymous with adultery. OJ had already had well-known marital problems and by 1994 was better known as the guy who was always getting hurt in the Naked Gun movies. Tyson never had a reputation as a great person.<div>
</div><div>The rumors of Tiger's affairs may have been going around the golf community prior to the crash, but they never got a mention by any of the major news or sports outlets. Contrast that with Lance Armstrong who already has the rumors of steroids are found on most of the major news websites.</div>

I saw on ESPN that Tiger's last 6 years at Augusta he finished something like 4th, 6th, 4th, 2nd, 2nd, and 1st. I don't think he's ever missed the cut at the Masters as a professional. He will easily make the cut again this year.

You could say that his image has fallen off a cliff, but not his golf game. Admittedly he has not won any golf tournaments since Nov. of 09, but he hasn't exactly been demoted to the Hooter's/Nike Tour. He finished T4, T4, 23rd and 28th last year in majors. Almost won the Chevron tournament. I believe you are simply seeing that there was no way he could keep up with the pace he was on. Phil only won one tournament last year - Masters. If he was missing cuts every week or out of contention every week, I could see the argument that there is no bigger fall from grace. But, that is not the case.

But I don't think he'll win. Just like last year, he played well but it was obvious he wasn't his old self.

nm - I dont think you can count players that retired on their own. Those two kinda got forced out.

So yes, I hope he makes the cut.

I wish he would pull things back together. Win two majors this year. Find a nice jewish girl. Go Hasidic. Buy aplace in the Hamptons within walking distance of a good orthodoxsynagogue. Become best friends with Shmuley. Hire me to caddy for him. Pay me a couple of mil a year to shag balls during practice and hand him his 9 iron..

I only wish all the good stuff for him.

Fall from Grace? Easy - My best bud Johnny Ward fell from grace as quicklyand as far as anyone I ever knew. He stayed out too late one Wednesday night chasing the skeeter fogmachine truck and his mom made him sit out ourfirst game in the 1956 Hinds County Little League playoffs (Clinton Blvd Elementary school ball field on Flag Chapel Road). Broke everyone's heart on the team. Obviously we couldn't win squat without him.
